I now have mame 0.82 and love it. :)

Something odd, though... I downloaded a batch of roms, but some of them are refusing to show up in the menu. These aren't newer roms, either - I'm talking about Rally-X, New Rally-X and Gunbird (Gunbird 2 shows just fine), and a couple others.

They're all in the roms folder where they're supposed to be, so I'm at a loss as to why they aren't showing up in the menu. Any ideas?

Some roms only show up if the parent rom is there.

example
parent: gunbunny.zip 4megs
clone: gunbunnyj.zip 200kb

Other roms require certain bios files.

And some roms just need a little repair from a utility like RomCenter (http://www.romcenter.com/)

Also, ALOT has changed since the older release you were using (0.56 was it?) romwise. Games have been updated and changed countless amounts of times, so you may have to redownload up to date roms for 0.82. If you need a complete set, shoot me a PM.
