Pac-Man Going To Movies
Crystal Sky, an international film production and distribution company, will develop the classic 1980s arcade video game Pac-Man into a live-action fantasy adventure movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Crystal Sky has reached a deal with Japanese game developer Namco and distributor Gaga for the film rights to the game, the trade paper reported. No writer or director is on board.
The deal follows on the heels of Crystal Sky's other Namco deal, to develop the video game Tekken into a feature film. That project is being adapted by Mike Werb and Michael Coleary and is also a joint project with Gaga, the trade paper reported.
Crystal Sky is also shepherding three Marvel Comics properties: the Steve Norrington-helmed Ghost Rider; Deathlok, written by Raven Metzner and Stuart Zicherman; and the Hans Rodionoff-adapted Werewolf by Night.

Very true. It is alot like Everquest. It even has Sora as a pker. Very interesting anime series. After watching the whole series I can't wait for the new game to come out! All four them.
I heard Wendee Lee was gonna play Mimiru.

this is going to be bad -- sure you can "make up" a story to pack man but there is not much of a story.
first - packman travels around a maze and kills the ghosts
second - there are more pack people and a horny female pac man travels around diferent mazes and kills many ghosts while meeting pacman and making pack jr.
i forgot what pack jr story is
the cartoon was a farse - like this movie will be - not real pack man
and yes no one will go to see the "real" pacman story

I'm really not sure how they're gonna pull this one off. Maybe if it were a 3D film, it could work. But Pac-Man? It would definitely have to be a kid's film. Or they could just give Mr. Seagal a phone call. I'm sure he could use the work. LOL
How about a Space Invaders or Defender movie? Or even better, BERZERK!! Aww yeah. The humanoid must not escape!!! Would kick ass if done right! :rocker:

maybe it will be a movie about pac-man the game and not pacman the man. Sort of like How the Wizard was about nintendo whereas Super Mario Bros was a movie about mario (albeit what it was)

Are they gonna have some goon in a Pac-Man suit? Or are they going to adapt it so it doesn't look so much like the game? Like it's just a regular guy trapped in a maze and he has to dodge ghosts and collect fruit and take pills? Sounds like Academy Award material to me!! LMAO

Well, the pic consists of:
1. Steven Seagal head shot.
2. A picture of Prince in the yellow suit.
3. A highschool play production shot, where they illuminated people dressed like ghosts with a black light.
It's all photoshop magic, pure and simple! LOL
