Totally owned my local Goodwill :D
Sonic Not For Resale version, case/game, now that I look at it there's a tear on the plastic front, oh well.
Random PC/Mac games, some in sleeves, couple in Jewels:
- Myth (Mac, boxed, alright shape box, $3.99, original Best Buy tag of $44.99 from 1997 still on there)
- HanaHo Games "Capcom Coin-Op Classics" jewel case with bad grammar and video card stretched (i.e. slightly blurred) and perspective-ized logos for various old games around a monitor; front of the jewel cover features a render of a purple HotRod 2-player joystick :P
- Jewels of the Oracle (The Quest Becomes Your World -_-) in a jewel case; looks like a Myst-style game. Windows 95/3.1/Mac.
Prody Parrot/Unreal Special Edition game disc in sleeve. I also found a copy of Shadows of the Empire for distribution with some video card or other (eh Dimond Savage I guess?) which I really wanted to pick up - played the N64 version, that was fun - but didn't have the money for it. There were also some OSX discs (developer tools, some other stuff) that were sealed, and one CD in a sleeve without a window and no label - sealed too O_o

All this sort of wastes my money, though, so why did I say I owned the thrift?

HP 12c calculator with floppy slipcover - according to eBay this should run anywhere from $20 to $50!

The calculator is in awesome shape, so it should be worth the higher prices. Too bad there wasn't a manual for it, that's all. My thrift gets neat old calculators sometimes - thankfully this one is a regular LCD display, not a VFD/LED - those are pretty but go funky over time.

All told I spent $21.67! It's like I got half the calculator free and then all the other game titles free.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention there was a pretty good shape Genesis 1 with a bag of hookups and an XMen 2 cart, $12. I didn't have money for it...hopefully it'll still be there when I get back on Thursday...

All w/ the manuals, plus the manuals for Dragon Warrior, Mach Rider, and RC Pro Am for 29 cents.

Items I got today...

At Gamestop, I got...

The Adventures of Kid Kleets (SNES)
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty

I planned to get more SNES games but felt the prices could've been a bit lower for the quality I saw there. But I'd never seen Kid Kleets anywhere else so I had to get that one.

From Toys R Us, I got the following Dreamcast games...

Sega Bass Fishing
Soldier of Fortune
Virtual On
Speed Devils Online Racing

I thought the cost of the Dreamcast games was also a bit high...two of the ones I got cost a bit over $20 each (and they were still charging $40 for Sonic Adventure 2) but they were having a buy 1 get 1 free sale so that made it a bit less painful...

There's still a Gamestop in this state that sells pre-N64 stuff? O_O

Well, I wouldn't go that far! LOL The Gamestop I was at was actually in Pennsylvania...in Robinson Township, about 15 miles East of Pittsburgh. I even saw about 20 NES carts there!

Stopped at gamecrazy yesterday and got:

NES Kid Icarus- $8
NES Bionic Commando- $5
GEN Sagaia- $3
GEN Lightning Force- $3
GEN Wardner- $2

I've been waiting too long to buy those NES games, only because GS overpriced them. Gamecrazy's a great store.

I picked up some more "free" PS2 games courtesy of the Blockbuster Gamerush deal. I traded in NFL Blitz (PS1), Rocky (PS2), Virtual Fighter 4, and Burnout (GC) and got:

Hitman Contracts (PS2)
Lupin the 3rd

...both for a grand total of $5.68. I love my Gamerush!

some more stuff:

Savers

Intellivision

Intellvision system - 2.99
Advanced Dungeons & Dragons - 1.99 (complete)
Space Armada - 1.99 (complete)

Retro Rockets:
Atari 2600
Turmoil-3
Squeeze Box-3
Mega Force-3
Shark Attack-3
All Loose

Gamecrazy:
Dudes With Attitudes-8 (loose)

Finally got an intellivision to play the 30 games or whatnot I have sitting on the shelf. Dirty as hell though. Also saw a perfect intellivision II and colecovision at another saver's but they wanted 35 for the colecovision, 30 for the intellivision and 20 for the attached intellivoice module. Hmmm...thanks but no thanks. Was very tempting though.

As I mentioned in the topic I recently created, yesterday I got:

SNES Mountain Bike Rally (complete) - 3.99
Sega CD After Burner III (complete) - .99

Then today I went back to the same place and bought every single complete Sega CD game they had. >) I got:

Road Avenger
Chuck Rock
Jaguar XJ220
Wonder Dog
Rise of the Dragon
Cobra Command
Blackhole Assault
Hook
Sewer Shark
Ground Zero Texas
Dracula Unleashed
Tomcat Alley
Bram Stoker's Dracula
The Terminator
Brutal Paws of Fury
Cliffhanger
Ecco the Dolphin

All but one of the cardboard box games were 99 cents, and the hard case games were 1.99. That price alone would've been awesome, but then I found out that on top of the great prices they were also doing a "buy 3, get 2 free" deal. So I got those 17 games for 14.91 plus tax. :)

The only bummer is that the N64 deal wasn't as good as I thought, so I didn't buy any. I didn't get the time to check them out much yesterday, so today I discovered that almost all of them were missing the manual, including the ones I was planning on buying. Most of the boxes were faded too, and one of the Mario Tennis 64 boxes had Super Mario 64 inside. :/

No biggie, though, I made out like a bandit with Mountain Bike Rally and all the Sega CD games, so I'm very happy. :)

Wow, I found out that I need to hit the garage sales first. Found out they'd sold everything game-related this morning and some of it yesterday. I didn't see a single cart in the whole place...

First stop was Goodwill, where I got three beat-up boxed Sid Meier games (Alpha Centauri, Civ III and Civ Call to Power), and a bear with a Sony shirt on (heh heh).

Then I got looking around the toy bins and found five handhelds - Tiger Baseball ('91), a regular Mortal Kombat handheld ('88), a "Tiger Barcodz" Mortal Kombat handheld ('94), Double Dragon ('89), and a Konami Mutant Ninja Turtles ('89, one of the tall ones). Also picked up some mid/late '90s poker handheld. Cost $11.60 - too much but hey. They were all a bit beat up with lots of scuffs on the screens but they'll work. Nothing major that was wrong with 'em that I could see - not like I looked too hard though :P

Errr...? I'm pretty sure Mortal Kombat was conceived a little later than that.
