Not videogame related but you don't see this everyday. An original Charles Darrow Monopoly boardgame, before PB make them :

Holy shit! I'd like to find one of those in the wild...

I find that really interesting. I was previously unaware at just how little that board game had changed over the last 70 years. If you were to just glance at that board in a thrift shop, you might not even notice how old it is!

Great games are timeless.

WOW, nice item! The seller is being very clear in what condition everything is in and what is included. Plus shipping seems resonable. Too bad there's no money. Had that and it would be a complete game. :)

This may well clear five grand by the time it's done. :eek 2:

Never mind, I see the auction ended. :embarrassed:

Still, $3500 is a nice price.

$3500? Whoa, to think my neighbours own a complete set which we used to play with in the 90s... That is so wow :o

Wow, that's really nice. Imagine what a 100% complete copy would make! @_@
I did a little research into old Monopoly sets after I found a war-time edition one in a charity shop a few months back. Unfortunately, the one I found was only worth around £30 :)

Yesterday I found a first edition of italian Monopoli of the "fascist period" (1936 till 1946) (almost sure that it is this version) which has many differences in the rules and names of streets and stations.
Anyone has an idea about the value of this version?

Interesting... That is the monopoly board I grew up with :D
It was given to me by my grandparents in the mid to late 80's

To bad it got destroyed, when our basement flooded :(

I never thought it was worth that much!
