Holy crap, is that how much it goes for? It doesn't even have the poster (If there is one for the PAL Version) or any other extras, and the box isn't even mint.

1) it's not rare, mabye uncommon, has an R4
2) it's very sought-after
3) uk ebay has some absolutely insane people bidding

Would that game even work on a US system? Arn't all UK games PAL? and howcome it looks like it is a Famicom cart (rounded) not a US or UK cart, yet it says Super Nintendo, not Famicom?

It's a European PAL cart.
Only the US had the ugly breezeblock-shaped consoles & carts - the European SNES consoles & carts are visually similar to the Super Famicom.
And no, it wouldn't work on a US machine (without an adaptor or internal modification, anyway).

No.1 - check the winner's feedback. I predict non-payment. The second bidder is a noob from Spain, which might explain why it went so high.

No.2 - As hydr0x said, it doesn't usually go for anything like that much. A freind of mine sold a copy a few months ago and I don't think it even hit £30.

I don't think the SNES was ugly at all. :D Or the games.

And I never knew there was a Boston in the UK. :hmm:

You guys make me laugh sometimes. Why do you think Boston in the USA is called Boston? It's because that's where the Pilgrim fathers came from before they emigrated to the US! Y'know, the Mayflower and all that?

LOL . I actually went to school for two years in Boston, UK. It's not a bad little place. A bit poky ... nice place to visit though. I did get pissed off in the USA though, the amount of times people said to me "You come from Boston? Is that named after Boston in the USA?" :frustrated:

Trust me, it looks better on the site than it does in real life :D [/quote]

I never thought about it, honestly. :) After all, Providence is'nt named for anything back in the old world. And my home town of Amherst was named for a British PERSON, not for a town. (Although I know damn well there is a Coventry in England. ;) )

vroom, i wonder how many people are not aware of the fact the New York comes from York, it should be obvious because of "New" but i guess 80% of the americans are not aware of that....

i wonder how many names overall come from the "old world", i even know a Portland over here LOL

Or that it was called "New Amsterdam" previous, before the Dutch "sold" it to us...

Uh huh .. and I see that Mr. SoulBlazer himself comes from a place called Coventry. I wonder where that name came from? ;)

Still, there are some names that probably didn't make it over there .. I would be suprsied if they have a "Chipping Sodbury" ... or better still, a "Wet Wang" We used to drive through that place every holiday on the way to my grandparents' house ... still cracks me up!

I always preferred 'Little Sodbury End' myself. It's about 10 miles down the road from Chipping :)
