I was playing PSO with Portnoid and Tempest an hour ago. We got smoked by Falz at the end. Nice playing with you guys. We'll get him next tim. Any other highlights you want to point out?

Lesson 1: Level 13 is too low for Ruins.
Lesson 2: Don't lose your party when you're the pussy mage.
Lesson 3: Stay together :)

Where are all the rares? I've had the same crappy gun since the caves! The shops never have anything decent...

@Tempest: you won't see "rares" until you can play the VERY HARD level online, or trade with someone. But even if you find them, you won't necessarily be able to use them until you hit certain skill levels (just like any other weapons, armor, etc). In very rare instances you might find a rare in HARD Mines or Ruins but I never count on it.

I hope you guys are gonna be online tonight. And I wish I had a keyboard so I could give some strategy while we play but alas, the keyboard is super expensive to import, I don't know if I'm gonna go for it.

VEGA block 9. Tonight.

The keyboard is expensive to import?? I'm confused; are you playing on a Dreamcast, or the Gamecube?

Assuming the Gamecube:
I've still not managed to find you guys to play this game. I've only been online with it once or twice, not played it outside of that, and don't have a clue what I'm doing.

IF I can make it online tonight (unlikely), & IF I can find you guys, can a DC player meet up with and join (& play with) GC users?

As for giving strategy, I'm willing to try and tie up the phone line for my help call if you can spare the line on your end.

Joe's talking about the Gamecube Keyboard controller. I'll be damned if that thing doesn't look uncomfortable as hell to use. I mean try holding your regular keyboard and pretend there are buttons on either side. I think you'd get hand cramps after 5 minutes.

I don't think that's possible - one way to tell is to see what ships the DC player can see. The ships are the servers you connect with - I haven't played the DC version in forever, but the ships there were things like Puck and Oberon...the GC version ships/servers are named Vega, Altair, Deneb and Antares.

We (GC users) more than likely won't be able to play with them (XBox users) either - I've heard that Microsoft will be running THOSE ships/servers, whereas Sega runs the ones the GC and DC folks play on... *pout*

I just hope Sega is sane enough to allow one hunters license for all three versions of the game (well the xbox and GCN versions, anyways).

Frankly I'm surprised some company hasn't come out with a GCN to PS/2 (The computer PS2, not sony) adapter yet for keyboards. well not surprised. Make that appalled.

@NoahsMyBro: the four ships on the GC version are different from the DC, think of each ship as a server. As Nyn says, the answer is "no".

But meet us on VEGA block 9 (GameCube) almost any night and someone from the forums should be there!

What I really need is an adapter that allows me to use the DC keyboard on the GameCube. Surely this can be done. Surely!

Check Walmart. I got mine at the Walmart at Haggerty and Pontiac Trail (is that still in West Bloomfield?). Anyway they had 4 in stock so I'm guessing the Walmarts weren't picked over like all the other stores.

Well, Walmart is more of a family store rather than an entertainment store so typical 10 year old kids would skip that and go to a real video game store that usually have more of everything. And 10 year old kids wouldn't be caught dead in Walmart.

Ah well, it's their loss as BBA in Walmart is a measly $34.96, $5 less the retail price at other places.
