Hello! I have compiled a list of Sega Saturn shooters with A LOT of help from various websites. Could you folks check it over and see if you agree that these games fit in the category of shooter? I have got the complete list at top, followed by a list of TRUE shooters (horizontal, vertical, and 3-D) that does NOT include ground-based shooters like Assault Suit Leynos 2, Metal Slug, etc. Are the lists complete? Would you take off or add something to one list or another?

List looks pretty good. Maybe someone with a sharper eye will find one you missed, but looks pretty complete to me.

A couple of things on the list...

Capcom Generation Volume 3 not only has Vulgus, but also Exed Exes, both of which are early Capcom overhead shmups along the lines of 1942, just with sci-fi themes. Exed Exes was released in U.S. arcades as Savage Bees. The other two games on the disc are both early action/puzzle games - Son Son and Pirate Ship Higemaru.

Capcom Generation Volume 4 has Commando, Commando II (aka MERCS) and Gun.Smoke (all arcade perfect).

Konami Antiques MSX Collection Ultra Pack contains the following shmups:

Gradius, Gradius 2, G II: Ambition of Gofer, Salamander, Parodius, Time Pilot, Twinbee, Sky Jaguar, Super Cobra, and Knightmare

The full list of games on this disc is as follows:
