THe games suck, but if you have a model III, you can play some of the later games which dont suck....totally. I have about 40 games for the system and I have to admit....I dont play them for fun, I play them to laugh! Honestly, on the bay you can probaly sell it and make a profit...If you didnt want to keep it. My system stays unplugged usually and well, I dont get the urge to play it often. As for older PC titles, yeah it can play the very old ones...but really the system is not really revered that much. Good for laughes and obscurity.

The Model 3 and 4 IMO were primarily business machines. Monochrome monitors with very low resolution and no sound (at least ours were).

You could still run some crappy games and some old aps like word processing and budget and stuff. However, the stuff you'd get on a modern pc for free is better than the programs for the model 3. I still have 2 of them and have never tried to sell them because they're so large and ungainly.

It might be tough to sell one on eBay ... I don't know what they go for but I would imagine shipping charges would be out of this world.

Back in the day, the TRS-80 Model III was king. It's what I learned to program BASIC on. If you're not into old ASCII driving/skiing games or text adventures, I can't imagine keeping one around.

Of course, I have one on my desk at work for nostalgic reasons, but that's another story ...

Aren't you moving?

Time to sell it. I don't know it's value, but a nice functional set probably is worth SOMETHING. I know you can make some cash on it. I personally couldn't help but keep it, idiotic as it may be. It's a nice score, in a set and working!

I could pick up some of the financial business and home planning cartridges which have been sitting in a nearby saver's of mine for the last 6 months....oh....don't want them? Well I think I understand. It's np.

I remember this computer. When I was completely computer illiterate I went to a Radio Shack and that damn employee talked me into this hunk of you know what...over a Vic-20. I returned it the next day and went to Child World for the Vic.
