I say don't do anything. Wait for72 hrs and see if anything happens (VERY UNLIKELY). Or, contact ebay with the email and ask if it is legit. One time some idiot sent me a fake ebay email telling me to fill in (I think this was what he asked for) my ebay ID, ebay password, and get this, the password to my email! What an idiot.....

I got one real similar last week except it was from paypal. Sounds like a real stinking scam. Send it to spoof@ebay.com and see what they say.

Scam. Most definitely.

I've gotten six or seven e-mails in the past couple of weeks from "eBay" telling me my account has been suspended - and if I could kindly fill in my account name and password, they'll get everything squared away.

Having always been on eBay's good side, I don't know what happens if you screw up. However, I like to think that they'd simply cut my account off at the source (by blocking my entry into it) rather than e-mailing to tell me about it first.

Whatever you do, e-mail the complete message to spoof@ebay.com and let them know.

That e-mail is ABSOLUTELY a scam. Just delete it and forget about it.

With eBay/Paypal mails, if you have to question it, it's fake.

I think that ebay will only email you if you email them first, or it will just be information and not ask you to fill out anything (like if someone you just bought from became no longer registered or something). That is just what I think, though.

Definitely a scam, I get ebay and paypal scam e-mails all the time. I'm pretty certain ebay never uses a link in their e-mails or asks for your password and they absolutely never ask for your credit card information. Every e-mail scam I've recieved has always asked for my credit card info, it's the quickest way to figure out it's a scam. One for paypal even went as far to say my paypal card had expired and they needed the info to update it. I of course went to paypal and checked, turns out my card was no where near expired!
