Quick story cuz it's late. My daughter's been into Kirby lately and her 5th Birthday rolls around. I ask her what kind of cake she wants for her party (I make them myself, another hobby), with the obvious response. Then I find out that Kirby cake pans are not easy to come by. So it's time to improvise. I download a few pics from the internet for color references and I run out and pick up two cake pans. I wasn't sure how they were going to turn out, that's why I got two pans, I figure one has to work. Here's what I end up with (6 hours later)

From this cake pan:

I get this:

And from this one:

I get this (my favorite):

That's it, just thought I'd share one of my more artistic moments, and in case anyone needed any B-day ideas.....

Edit - For some reason, neither img or url tags are working for me tonight, so if you wanna see, you'll have to cut & paste. Sorry.

Hey, this is not too bad at all! My wife prides herself on making neato cakes like this. Last November my son's best friend wanted a Sonic the Hedgehog cake for his birthday. His mom had no clue what to do so my wife whipped one up. It looked pretty good. I'd post a pic, but you've outdone her, so deserved props for your mad c@x0r sk1llz!

That's pretty awesome man! I'll have to dig out a picture of my groom's cake from several years ago.

[Edit]

This was my groom's cake:

Heh, nice.... I'm still trying to convince my girlfriend to use the Super Mario cake pan I bought at a yardsale.

I like the soccer ball turn Kirby cake the best. (:

I remember when I was a little kid the only shaped cake pan my mother had was an Oscar the Grouch sitting in his trash can. One year for my cousin's birthday she turned it into a basket of kittens. XD

But yours definately rock.
