Hey all. I bothered Joe with this because I am dumb and forgot that there was a forum for this kind of thing. Sorry DP. I was wondering if anyone could help me identify if these carts I have are Activision protos. I dont want to remove the stickers but if I did I would not know what to look for anyway. Once again as stated earlier, I am dumb. I dont know how to post a picture so if you can help me I will be glad to email you my shots of these carts. Thanks a ton.

Do the carts have blue labels with white text, or white labels with blue text?

Neither really. They have a solid red label with nothing written on them and what appears to be some sort of filing sticker on the front with the name and internal number typed on it. AG-009 FREEWAY I just found these in a lot I bought from a store a while back.

Prototypes. I am sure, because Activision Prototypes are only red with little white stickers.
And when it a bit looks like that here, then its 100% a Prototype.

Thank you very much for posting those pics and helping me try to verify. I guess it is time to sell sell sell. Although prototypes are awesome to have in a collection, there are too many other things I NEED. Thanks again.

O_O
Strange. AG? Never see them with AG.
My NTSC Dolphin has AX and PAL Seaquest has EAX.
EAX = Europa I think. And AX, don't know. But only see AX Activision Prototypes in the past.
And I never see NTSC versions without date and Activision on them? O_O
From which country does they come?
But looks real at the first look.

I have not posted them at atari age yet. I should for sure. I am pretty sure I found an NES proto at my local gamestop as well. I am going to have to find someone to help me verify that one as well. I have just been real lucky this year. Everythings coming up millhouse!! :D

NES protos are easy, especially if you open it up and show me the board. Feel free to email me that, too.

Well, the actiplaque on the labels is a pretty good giveaway for activision carts, since they used a special ghetto glue on them that would be very difficult to duplicate, especially since they must be aged first (well, without scientifically speeding the process somehow), but activision are among the easiest to make "fake" protos of since they are so plain, aside form the actiplaque (it's not like all activision carts have blead their glue). But yeah, those look similar to my Activision protos. Sometimes they are a burgundy or purplish label instead of Red. Also, they don't always have the white tag label on them....sometimes they are missing or were probably never there to begin with...
