Not only do you pay for the ROMs, you have to download them too! Even more suprising, someone is bidding!

You know how the DP site here occasionally has a contest for the funniest auction listing. Well maybe some other site from time to time has an eBay contest where the goal is to find the stupidest most gullible ebay bidders.

I reported that last one to Ebay, who promptly shut it down. I contacted the seller to clarify that was they were seller were indeed just links to where you could download games. His reply,

<alexander-products> well it was just an offer, i already had 1 bidder and hes pretty fine by it. and its not a scam. its quite the same as downloading from a paid website, example, like napster.com they work with mp3. i work with desktop games.

<ebay gremlin> It sure is. It's an offer to rip people off, which is quite the same as ---- ripping people off, and it appears Ebay agrees with me.

The winner for the 1st auction was won by a seller who is no longer registered. Ha.

my grandma could go online and figure out how to get roms for free, and she can barely eat a bowl of oatmeal, so why the hell would anybody want to bid on this?
