Does anyone know if I can use a TG-16 multi tap adapter with the PCE or do I need to get a PCE multi tap?

AFAIK all Japanese machines use mini-din connectors whereas Turbografxs use regular dins.

A DuoTap will do you just fine as it has the same size ports as the PCE. You'll need to get DuoPads or PCE controllers. A Turbo tap has the aforementioned issue.

You can also buy a TG16/Duo convertor that lets you use TG16 peripherals on the Duo/PCE. This allows you to adapt the Turbo Tap and then use regular TG16 controllers on your PCE. I believe www.tzd.com still has those convertors for $10-15 each. You'll only need one.
