I just picked up a tomytronic 3d space attack handheld and I have not been able to find any info on this game. I keep finding info on sky attack and shark attack but not space attack. Any info would be great

Hey, I had one of those crazy things! I don't recall if it was the racing game or the space shooter, but I remember that I got it for a reasonable price (being just after the crash of 84 and all) and spent all kinds of time with it. Sure wish I still had it!

If they made the same game under different names , which is what it looks like, how come I can't even a mention of Space Attack.

I'm into these Tomy 3D variants.
Thundering Turbos = 3D LeMans
3D Shark Attack = Jaws 3D

There are a few others, and by your description:
Planet Zeon = Space Attack

As it turns out, the value of the variants isn't that much greater than the other ones in my experience, probably because neither is particularly more interesting than the other. The variants named above on the right are the Japanese/Asian versions typically, whereas the ones above on the left were sold in the UK (predominantly), Europe and North America, and have non-Japanese instructions on the battery door.

I'm interested in buying that or trading for it, if you feel like passing it on- and it's in good nick. Pictures would be cool though. Post them here if you can.

Does yours have Japanese instructions?

On the Tomy 3D tip, there's also 3D Sky Attack, as well as a weird one not released over here called 3D Jungle Attack or something like that- if I remember correctly it was a basic platform premise. There's 3D Stereo Skyfighters. There is at least one Tandy release with 3D Sky Duel (cheaper red plastic, but nice.) I've heard a rumor of 3D Stereo Sherman (a tank game), which I would love to track down.
