Sarge's War back on the table??

I've always been a fan of the Army Men series of games. I was a bit disappointed when 3DO folded just weeks before releasing this game. They had hyped it, there were reviews in NP as well as other mags, heck I think there were even some hints in NP.

Well I followed another post about some game specials at EB and found THIS (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/categories/products/deptpage.asp?web_dept=gamecube&order=list_price&intpageno=3&ordersort=asc&typ=n&siteID=FKSJxY2VJAk-tzXjpukmLZnC4%2AZ%2FOvGS1g) which now shows it will be released on 8/21/04.

I thought the game was nearly finished when 3DO had it, and with the budget price EB has listed, I would assume that Globalstar hasn't really dumped a lot of money into it as far as programming changes. Has anyone else heard any details on this other than what is listed HERE (http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/232217.asp)?

Not too many details but I saw this game in the POS at Gamestop also. I think I saw different sku's for it also, Gamecube & PS2. There were other Army Men games coming out also, Army Men RTS & something else for Cube.

I was under the impression that Sarge's Heroes (on da sixty Four) had a budget of much more than $200, myself, so I am very shocked at the thought of seeing an underperforming title in the series. Eh, maybe that's one of the worse ones, but I think the series has been a waste overall.
