sorry if this post is in the wrong forum but I kinda wanted a quick responce, How do you tell if a game has been doctored(resurfaced)? I guess you could assume it has been if its scratched to hell and still works. I ask because I have a copy of game that plays fine but looks very odd on the play side,Looks like tons of very thin lines going around the whole game cd. Thanks in advance

look for a white wax around the outside and in the center, that is one clue
swirl marks are a sign of a resurfaced disk, but could also come from being stored in those CD binders.
If the guy is really good at resurfacing, then you will never know the difference.

A profesional resurfacing shows NO sign of being resurfaced at all. except for the occasional little bit of compound that can show up on the outer edge of the game, Just like Dave2236 said.
If the game was Disc Doctored (or Game Doctor/Dvd Doctor they are all the same machine with a different name) It has a foggy look, as that kinda compound is ment to fill in the scratch, and not buff it out like the professional machines do. The marks on it look like a Swirlie going from the inside towards the outside of the disc.
Ive noticed that GameStop has a profesional resurfacer thing (they send them in to a company to get done) but it actually rounds off the sharp outer edge on the underside of the disc's making them look VERY weird because they are highly mirrored and there is no real edge to it.

most of the times you can tell, we dont take gamedoctored games as trade ins at my store so ive learned to tell what they look like, if its been game doctored its hard NOT to tell, there will be a glossy looking design coating the inter part of the cd, if you take a crayon, and take the paper part off, and push it on paper and spin it around it almost looks like that
