Not a problem at all, which it really shouldn't be for any that play games somewhat.
I have never done the lost levels things though. Exactly how many levels are in the lost levels?

Mario games are hard? I beat the lost levels years ago on SMB Allstars, but never the original. I'm sure it was much harder as I thought SMB1 was alot easier on allstars for some reason. Every other mario game i've beaten on it's original system (except i've never played mario 64 and later). For some reason I'm thinking SMW2:Yoshi's Island was the hardest but I can't really remember. And 8-3 is the only stage that sometimes gives me trouble in SMB1.

Nope. (Though I'm laughably bad at Pac-Man.)

No worries here. I've beaten the Lost Levels on fewer than 5 men a few times now. I stopped at Mario 64 though...I hate hate HATE that game...

I will admit I'm absolutely terrible at the original Super Mario Brothers.
Stick me in front of a big-ol rpg, or an fps, or a fighting game of some sort, and I won't have a problem. Ask me to jump over one slow moving mushroom, and I just can't do it for the life of me.

I think I got a pretty good grasp of the Mario series of games, the one that gave me the most trouble I think is Super Mario Sunshine for some reason. lol.

I think I was ok. I don't know about now. When I was still pretty good at it, I bought smb2 for the Famicom. I remember getting confounded as to why they would put a mushroom in there that could damage you (why Nintendo why!) but I perservered. It sucked when I hit a backwards warp and thought it must have been some trick where some good could come out of it... no such luck. It just put me at an earlier level! I ended up never finishing the game. I think the highest level I could reach was about 5? I forget.. I just know that I never could finish it. And when lost levels came out.. I guess with the saves it could be done. But I just never bothered

I think Im okay. I can get through the first one without warp zones and without dying in about 35 minutes. And I can beat the 2nd and 3rd easily too. Mario world is also easy and same with lost levels.

I'm good until I get to any of the "looping" castles, like the ones where you have to take a specific path or else you must start over. I think there's one at 4-4 and another somewhere else. I swear, I'm good otherwise!!

These are about the only games I'm actually really good at. I once beat SMB1 and SMB3 all the way through just to do it on very few lives (less than three losses, a bunch of gains). I HATED Mario 2 so I don't really count that one, but I could do fine at it. I didn't ever like Mario World enough to replay it, but I did beat the whole game and unlock all of the extras.
After that, when the series went 3D I lost interest. 3D platformers just don't have the same feel to me as the 2D ones did, and I rarely get into any of them.

When I was a kid, it would take me months to get through the games. But I enjoyed just about every minute of it.
Needless to say I'm a lot better now. LOL

Yeah, I pretty much rock at all Mario games. Beat lost Levels, beat Mario 64 100%, can beat the original mario in less than 10 mins.
Yeah, I'm the man at mario

I've never gotten further than 8-3 in the first game. I can mangle every other installment, though.

I used to be pretty dang good at the games, but playing 3D platformers have made me soft. I'm good, but my 2D Mario skillz are rusty.

I did not beat SMB1 until a couple months ago. That game haunted me since I was a little kid, I was pretty good at it but I could never beat bowser at the last level. Then I set a goal for myself to try again now 15 or something years later, and in a couple hours I did it. Damn was I proud of myself LOL
Of course SMB3 I could conquer no problem back then and still now. It's just SMB2 that I haven't beaten. I tried again recently but I just don't like the game so I don't put much effort into it.
Now with Mario 64, I happen to like that game. It had to go 3D sooner or later since everything else was at the time and Nintendo had to show they could do it too. I think they did a pretty good job doing it too, but that is just MHO...I still think they should try a new 2D side scrolling Mario tho, Yoshi on the N64 was pretty cool, imagine what they could do on GCube now...

Damn, tell me about it. Mario Sunshine is the one that gives me the most problems too. I absolutely love that game, and too me is the top 3 list on my GC, but even when I use a strategy guide I can't get all the stars. I have had the game since the DAY it was released and to this day only have like 55-60 stars. Isn't there like 100-105 stars total?
