Well yeah. What IS A SuperGun? I've heard it mentioned a few timnes... and found a picture soemwhere of one... my guess is that it's just a "Home Version" other half of an Arcade Machine that you can plug into your TV.. Monitor..or what not... but..I'm not QUITE sure..
Can anyone help me on this?

Superguns are awesome, that's what they are.
Essentially, they consist of three *main* parts; power supply, JAMMA wiring harness, and video output. Since JAMMA is pretty much the arcade standard, this setup allows you to plug any JAMMA arcade board into the wiring harness and play it on your TV or other monitor. The problem with TV is that JAMMA outputs RGB natively, so the supergun needs to also have an RGB -> Composite/S Video converter in there (unless it's being used on an RGB monitor with the appropriate sync frequency). Audio, controls, test buttons, etc are all wired off the JAMMA harness.
So, long story short is that a supergun allows arcade games to be played at home on an external monitor without the giant fancy cabinets. If you're into arcade games, then I'd recommend looking into building one. They're pretty straight forward and many of us have enough experience to help you out. Also, do a forum search for Supergun and check out past projects and information.

Awesome. I wasn't clear on what SuperGuns were either.
But one question remains... why that name? I don't see where a "gun" is involved with such a device.
