http://img7.photobucket.com/albums/v21/Chris1/BIGger.jpg

I passed up a lot of stuff today..many,many NES boxed games.

One lady had a very big box of Master system games and a boxed Master System..

I pulled out a few of the games below..since she wanted like $150.00 for everything..
I'm just not willing to spend that much right now.

The last thing I picked up was the complete PS2 titles for $4.00 a piece..

Dang, how come everyone else finds games/systems at garage sales?!?!

I go out every saturday for like 1-2 hours at least (w/ my family of course since I'm only 15) and I HARDLY EVER find anything even related in any way to video games! and when I do, many times it isn't worth buying!

However, today I guess I did well...I found 4 Sega Pico games (3 boxed, all with manual) marked at $1 each...I pass them up because I was dumb and didn't know anything about Sega Pico (I'd never seen them before)...I go home and research them and then get my dad to take me back - at around 12:30, pretty much at the end of the sale...I take them up and offer $2.50/all four games...she says she'll take $2.00/all (I'm like, OK... @_@)...then she says "did you get the machine, too?"...I say something like: "what machine?"...she says that she's got the system inside but that she can't get it to work - I can have it for free if I want it :-P...of course I'll take it if it's free...then lo and behold, I get it and it has another game inside it! So all in all, I got:

Sega Pico system (Broken? - I don't really know how to hook the thing up O_O)
Sonic Gameworld (complete)
Pocahontas (complete)
Berenstain Bears - A School Day (complete)
Richard Scarry's Busiest Day Ever
Lion King

---All for $2----

By the way, were there only 20 Sega Pico games released?

Arcadia Game Exchange near me is closing and they are selling off all their shit:

almost 2000 SNES boxes, in fair to mint condition - 150

Bought out all the snes boxes for 150$. Yep. Pretty crazy, but I figured, what the hell, I'll probably almost never have to buy boxes seperately again.

Probably will go back a few days before they close and clean out sms, genesis, nes and atari stuff.

Well, I went back for more Garage sale action Saturday. Not as good as Friday, but here is what I got:

4 Handheld games 75 cents each

Godzilla
Alladdin
Star trek 25th anniversary
rocketeer

N64 System, 2 controllers, gameboy transfer pak w/ 18 games $40
This makes my 7th N64(3 in the past 3 weeks). Here are the games:

Tony Hawk 2
Madden 99
Goldeneye
Mario Party
Mario 64
Harvest Moon 64 :D
Bass Hunter 64
Starfox 64
F-1 Racing
Bomberman
Rampage WT
Star wars racer
Star Wars Rogue Squadron
Nagano Olympics
Mario Kart
Triple PLay baseball
Buck Bomber?
Pokemon Stadium

I usually Don't pay that much. She had $50 and I talked her down to $40. That breaks down to $2 per game and $4 for the system with 2 good controllers. Not too bad. Also, isn't Harvest Moon a pricey game??

On a non-video game note, I picked up a full size gum machine with cast iron base for $5. I know they go for about $50-60 dollars with the base. When I got it home and opened it up, there was exactly $4 in change in the bottom. So I basically paid $1 for it!! Sweet!!!

-hellvin-
06-13-2004, 08:29 AM
I got many many doubles but all together I'd say I picked up about 500+ unique game titles. I have hordes of some box, Super Ghould N Ghosts (15), Super Street Fighter 2 (25), but I also got like 5 of each Lufia, 5 of each final fantasy, ect. My friend got the chrono trigger box and ninja gaiden trilogy box a while ago from the store so I don't have those =\.

Arg....went to like 10 garage sales, nobody had video game stuff they were willing to sell. Im off to the flea market now but it just started raining.... shouuld have went earlier...dang.

EDIT:

Flea market sucked, only half the people were there. Saw some common snes games and passed on em. Got a cybiko at goodwill for .99 and thats all for this weekend...I guess I just had too good of a week and I wasnt meant to get anything this weekend....damn rain.

Couldn't pass up a peddler's fair one town over, and found, all for $3 a pop, all for the SNES:

JRR Tolkien's Lord of the Rings Volume 1 Sealed
Jurassic Park 2 Sealed
Xmen: Mutant Apocalypse Sealed
C2: Judgement Clay Sealed
Troddlers Complete
Kid Klown in Crazy Chase Complete
Doom Complete
Ghoul Patrol Complete

And they had about 20 more, that I couldn't afford - all for $3. This is the cream of it, but nothing was that incredibly common either. All the complete games are still in the shrink, just slit at the end. Everything incredibly mint. I'll be going back next month when I have more funds, assuming this table returns...

- Mega Race Sega CD
- Klonoa, Viewpoint, and R-Type Delta PSX
- Thrash Rally Neo Geo MVS
- several sealed Double Dragon animated series action figures

The great un-find. A friend of mine hit some yard sales Saturday after lunch and called upon returning home with the location of some folks selling a PSOne with LCD screen for $20. He didn't pick it up because he was out of money but thought I might want it. So, I hop into the car and drive down - even though the sign says they're going until 3PM (and it's 2:30), they're closing down. I ask about a Playstation and they say "Oh, we started packing up and it hadn't sold, so we gave it to the little boy across the street." Great. Lousy kid :o
