Apart from a few famicom translations, I've now completed all the carts I wanted for my collection. Click on my sig picture for more info about other carts I've reproduced.

As far as game play.. I love California Raisins (the game is awesome!!!!). Drac's night out is great.. and I have high hope for squashed (still having problems learning the hyper speed, hyper jump key combinations).

Cheers.

Finally sat my butt down and worked on the Raisins label.. this is as close as it's going to get. Mostly scanned from the capcom brochures given out in the 80's with game purchases.

Are you doing FF2 now as well? I am interested in both it and Earthbound and should be able to trade in 16 games off your need list and send donors. Please PM me with an up-to-date need list if possible. Thanks!

Here are some labels I've made. I'm not sure if Leonk will be making copies of Moon Crystal or not.

http://www.planetnintendo.com/thewarpzone/crystal.gif

And the Stakk'm label is one I made for a friend of mine, though no one will have a use for this since the game is unreleased and undumped. Argh.

I have moon crystal, but decided to wait a bit before making it. It's a very simple game to reproduce.. same PCB as RvsT... The label looks nice, but it's too tiny. All my labels are stored as TIFF at very high resolution (I print at 1440dpi using 6 color ink carts). :D

I did make a copy of Recca for myself... All I got to say is @_@

This game is AMAZING!!!!! It's the best shooter I've ever seen on the NES.

Thanks for sharing!

What a slow night.. (fiancee out on her stagette with her friends..) so I set down and made Moon Crystal.

WOW! What an AWESOME GAME!!! I made it to level 3 before I needed to continue. I can't believe the cut scenes are on an NES! They're SNES video quality!

Some games you mention are the actual English releases, not translations. What does that mean, since none of these were releases? I'm confused...

LeonK,

Which version of EB 0 is it? Is it the one that can crash (message from NIntendo pops up) or the fixed/hacked version? I got a EB NES cart from someone once and it was the bugged/rigged/crashable version.

-Rob

I've played the game for a bit and it never crashed on me.

I did get the ROM from a reputable source (same place as RvsT came from, the co-owner of lostlevels) so it should be good. If anyone has a good known copy of it, I can easily do a binary compare and let you know.

I can also put most non-USA releases on carts by special request (same cost). So if you see a title that's not listed, ask away.

Crush: Over Horizon and Recca are both good shooters. Over is a bit harder than Recca and Recca is a lot more intense (can't believe how many different enemies are on the screen at the same time!!)

Moon Crystal is AMAZING. It's also the biggest NES game I've seen on that mapper (4Mbits!)

But of all the carts I made... I probably love California Raisins the most. It's just a blast (my wife loves it too!)

I would be interested in buying a Star Fox 2 cart, as well as a Secret of Mana 2 cart (Seiken Densetsu 3 english translation with "Secret of Mana 2" title screen). Both were games that I was eagerly awaiting during my teen years... but they never got released :(

If I can get my NES repaired, then I will also buy Earthbound, Sweet Home, and FF2.

Sorry if someone else already posted about this, but why don't you make a bunch of these and sell em at a gaming con like CGE or something?

Chris

Chris,

I might do that one day.. Maybe I'll convince my wife to let me fly out to CGE next year. :D

It's just so hard to decide on which carts will sell.

Jibbajaba

I would vote California Rasins and Final Fantasy II, but I'm certainly no expert. I would bet that you could sell enough of them to easily pay for your trip to CGE, though.

I've been sending stuff to many different states, and noticed that the cost for shipping alone is ~5$!!! Factor in another 5$ for the donor cart (if you're lucky!) and the donor being shipped to me doesn't look that good anymore. :(

That's why I got together a good supply of donors locally. But if you still want to send the donor.. it depends on the game. PM with what game you want, and I'll tell you what donor to send me.

Just a quick update..

I managed to get my hands on a few more hard to find donor carts. It's close to imposible to find the correct donors right (w/o paying crazy eBay prices for them).

So if you were thinking of ordering a cart.. now might be your last chance. :(

Because when these donors are gone.. they'll be gone. And I'll switch to "customer supplies donor cart" mode only ..

Cheers.

Is your FF3J at the bottom of your page for sale? Does it come with a label?

Yup.. FF3J is for sale and comes with label, brand new battery and an overall very professional put together cart. Workmanship is something I value very much, so you will not find solder burns, wires going all over the place, etc.. with carts purchased from me.

I've decided to remove images of the labels off my web site because of another nes reproducer coping my artwork and posting it as his own.

email me and I'll send you a pic of how it looks.

when the guy at grantheftendo is finished, will you be making carts of that? BTW, as sooon as I can snag a NES top loader for a decent price, i'm sending you money.

That depends on a lot of things.

1) Is he going to be using a common mapper of custom. If he uses a custom one that only he can produce, then only he can sell them.

2) If he doesn't mind, then sure. But if he sells them himself, I will not be reproducing it. Call it professional curtesy.

Thanks!
