I have seen this game on ebay a couple of times but i havent found it on any lists:

Cabbage Patch Kids: Workout

here is a recent link:

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4315&item=8105764130&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

I have only found one other reference on the web from Expandable Computer News Issue#6 Jan/Feb 1985 where it mentions it as a "new" product.

http://www.sacnews.net/adamcomputer/06.html#ECN6-3
click on CES Las Vegas for the brief article.

what is the deal?

Also, can anyone provide information on the CBS version of The Fall Guy?

There seems to be a few prototypes that were manufactured for release by CBS but i dont know if they ever hit the stores anywhere.

good questions.

the "cabbage patch kids: workout" game is unusual... i can't tell for sure if it is a CES demo, or if it was maybe a reproduction.
from what i can gather (to date) the label looks old, but the circuit board looks like a reproduction style board... it *IS* possible that this is a true demo, but the circuit board looked suspicious to me.
the only way to tell is to crack it open... that MAY provide the answer.
it may be completely legitimate.
if it is, then it is possibly one of a kind.

it has since been dumped and i am in the process of aquiring it right now.

as for the fall guy... that game i am 99.9% certain is a reproduction.
if you have one, and dont want to damage the case or label opening it.. then check the connectors on the bottom.

compare the connectors (and the appearance of the circuit board) to a known homebrew (like one of NewColeco's games), and to a donkey kong.
if the connectors and board look like newcoleco's, then it is most definetely a reproduction.

while it is possible to make a reproduction that could look old, i have not seen it done yet.

alright, if there are any other questions just ask-

keep in mind that these are my opinions based on experience, not 100% solid fact.
