Do all Atari 8-bit "Gateway To Apshai carts have EPROMs? I have one and I opened it since it felt heavy and it has a Deico Electronics DEI 1007 REV-A EPROM PCB and 2 SEEQ EPROMs with Epyx stickers over the windows. The label on the cart is the same as the one on Atariage.
Thanks, y-bot

Doesn't anyone have this game or know for sure if it came with EPROMs? I have a "Pitstop" Epyx cart and it has a different case and glued-in tiny ROMs (not sure if they are still called ROMs when they are the tiny ones).
Thanks, y-bot

I wish I could help you, but it's been ages since I've seen that game. I remember the cartridge looked just the same as all the other Atari 800 cartridges. The game itself, of course, is terrific.

They were made with & without eproms. My Gateway To Apshai & Ptstop are both with Eproms in those DEICO cases, Jumpman Junior (I think) & Silicon Warrior (I know) were also were sold in eprom form. I've owned both versions of Pitstop with & without the eproms, I'm fairly certian I've seen Gateway in the rounded case without eproms on ebay before, but I've never seen up close or really payed it much attention. Silicon Warrior was available in both forms too I'm sure of that. Also Fun with Art was available in both.

I've only ever seen rounded cased non-eprom versions of Alien Garden, Monster Maze, & Plattermania (at least mine are all rounded versions, I've not seen/noticed eprom DEICO versions of these ever)
