I've had mine for a few weeks now (as has everybody I'm assuming), but I've only recently gotten around to playing with it.

Wow.

What a *cool* piece of hardware. And I'm using my 7800 for the first time in, well, forever. I didn't realize the shielding was so much better - my picture quality is light years better than on my 2600 (although that might be the carts too perhaps?)

I've actually gone to the trouble of setting up a pretty comprehensive menu system if anybody is interested. Looks like this (but with every North American release (I think) listed):

____Atari (2600) ________
Adventure ('78)
Asteroids ('81)
Breakout ('78) (Paddles)
etc...

I even decided to list the Sears stuff (you can point more than one menu item to a given file). Currently I'm working on formatting manuals to fit the 40 character width. Yes, this is why I've spent less time on the forums lately :D

What's your experience like so far?

Agreed. At long last I can play a lot of 2600 games and see what I'm doing! Currently running over 1000 files and no problems at all. Well worth the money...

Yeah, it's an incredible piece of hardware....a giant feat, that's for sure. My only small gripe is that it doesn't play a lot of the homebrews and tech demos...yet. This is due to the scripts that must be written for each bankswitch type. I mean, you can write your own, but after repeated instructions from different people, I still can't figure it out...and besides...there's so many!
