Just for the record, this is the weirdest console I've ever owned...just though I'd toss that in.

Now, I'm having this probem in which the bottom of the screen is cut off. I'm trying to play stuff like Fightin' Spirit and I can't see the bottom of the screen nor the options menu. Is this just the way all of this works or am I doing something wrong??

Sounds like you're playing a PAL game in NTSC mode. Since PAL has a higher resolution, when playing games in NTSC mode the bottom of the screen is going to get off.

I am going through the same things you are since I just got my CD32. It is becoming increasingly apparent that this console did not have the US in mind. Almost all the games I've tried on my NTSC unit are like what you are describing.

I figured I just shold have PM'ed you about this! LOL

Anyway, I don't believe alot of the games I have are PAL. Joe sent me a nice stack of games (thanks again!) and they surely look like US releases. Is there anyway to tell the difference between the 2 formats based on the case/CD alone??? It's kind of hard to play a fighter and not being able to see the foot sweeps coming.

I agree it does sound like PAL games on an NTSC machine - mine do the same thing. If your TV supports a PAL signal, put an Amiga mouse into port #1, hold both buttons down on bootup and switch to PAL mode.
