[List Updated Sunday, June 20th]

I am currently gathering together all of the officially released VMU expansion files for the various Dreamcast games. This means like the Sonic 2 Themes and Cart Races, the Sonic 1 Special Missions and City Alterations, the Dynamite Cop! Detonator Pack, etc...

The only problem I'm having other than I don't have all the files is with downloading the files onto a VMU. I remember there was some alteration that needed to be made to the .htaccess file on the webserver, but I have yet to find the information I need to set this up. My final intention with this page is to have these files up, on a DC Webbrowser-friendly page for direct download to VMUs thru the DC. I do not have a Nexus card, so I will not be able to make those files, and the memory card I have that does connect to my PC uses a different format for files. Direct VMU downloads seem easiest.

I may be asking later for help on locating many of these files... especially the two Skies of Arcadia downloads and the Flogian Bros monthly downloads... Please help me preserve these files so they do not disappear forever!

I seem to remember there being themes for Sonic Adventure 2 that were never released but probably hidden within the game CD. Like the Shadow theme? There was also apparently a theme for the President's Secretary (?!) in the Gamecube release, unheard of for the Dreamcast.

As far as I know most of the VMU special downloads were merely keys to content already on the disc.. it'd be great if someone sat down and compiled all of that, hacked into the ISO or whatever.

Actually, someone did.

I got the "lost" or unreleased themes off of sonic-cult.org

Someone hacked up some .VMI files to unlock those themes, and I have them now =]

If you have a Nexus card, or compatible, you can grab the files there if you don't want to wait.

Sign up for the Dreamcast section of onlineconsoles.com

A bunch of game saves you might need are hosted there.

Also, Booyaka.com is a great site to get game saves. Let me know how it works out.

Booyaka is a great site, thanks for the suggestion, but I'm already using it 8-)

By the way, when this is finished, I encourage as many people as possible to rip this page off and post it themselves. I am only seeking to see these files preserved. Joe, if you wanna make a copy on Digital Press, feel free.

BTW, other than the games I've posted, and Samba De Amigo's downloadable songs... what other DC games had official downloads?

That's all I can think of right now.

This sounds like a very good project.

Somebody mentioned Booyaka.com, and that site is excellent. I used to use it all the time when I was bootlegging games, because I didn't have enough time to play through every single game, so I would use booyaka to unlock the stuff and play that way.

Booyaka's a great site, and I have no intention of trying to duplicate it. Someone should clean it up a bit though.

The only 'Save' file i intend to put on my page is the 180 emblems save for Sonic Adventure 2 since it unlocks Green Hill Zone. Booyaka has the rest covered :)

Phantasy Star Online had several 'downloadable quests'. I believe that you can find a couple of those on onlineconsoles.com.

My VMU's got trashed, otherwise I'd try to help.

Great idea, and good luck!

I remember Spike used to have weekly polls on their website to release additional moves on Fire Pro Wrestling D. If I'm not mistaken, they also released edit packs every so often. I'll look to see if I can find any online for you.

EDIT: You're in luck, I found a collection of all the available moves and edit packs. I don't know if the links still work since I'm at work and can't check them. If they do work, I hope you have a bunch of memory cards. http://gswf.org/dl_moves.asp

And just in case you're unfamiliar with the game, its japanese, so the official downloads would be the Japan ones, not the english ones.

So is this project dead?

Not at all. I just still haven't found any information on how to post these so they can properly be downloaded onto a DC VMU
