in fact it's missing Shenmue (normal edition) and Sonic Adventure 2 Limited Edition, but still, it's impressive :)

What do you think of the $3,000 BIN? Worth it? I have no idea of DC values. Basically that's $12/game for a complete collection.

Is it really complete? Does anyone have something that isn't on that list?

That doesn't look complete to me. I am pretty positive there are more games than that, there has to be. It looks damn impressive, I am sure it will go for a very nice price.

Wow... that isn't a bad deal at all.

I wish that I had a spare 3 grand to blow on an instant complete DC collection.

Eh, I guess I'll go through the fun of collecting it all. :hmm:

I was just going to post this auction here. That looks like all of them. The 3K BIN is high but what the hell. I would do the exact same thing if I were selling a complete collection. Achicka once commented that most people with a complete collection have spent $1000 US (approx.) so I am using this as my guideline. I have 65 games and I have spent $400 Canadian. IThat includes most of the high demand items. There are only 5 more that I need worth more than $20.

I don't think buying a complete collection is verymuch fun. I like hunting for games in the wild, trading here and buying and selling on eBay. Keeps the cost down as well.

Edit: Some poor grammar.

3.000 is too much, yeah, but if you are rich and don't feel like collecting all the stuff (it's not THAT much fun for dreamcast games as everything is readily available through ebay if you can't find it in the wild) than it's a good deal :)

and there's still one hard to find game left, Sonic Adventure LE ;)

i think achika is right when saying you get your collection for $1000, i've got about 180 dc games (pal though) and have paid around 700 for them, 1000 would be correct if there wasn't Samba de Amigo and Sega Bass Fishing Boxset (Australian-only) left which will cost me 150-300 together depending on how patient i am, but you don't have those two in the US. And yes, it's almost impossible to find those two in the wild as no one would ever sell a Samba to a used games store or whatever and Sega Bass Boxset was only released in Australia :(

This is an opportunity to instantly be a Dreamcast collector

With only a couple of games (shenmue, sonic LE) left you wouldnt be a collector very long LOL

He says he will pay for postage if the auction reaches $2000, so im assuming the reserve is less than that- in which case it will probably sell. $2k also makes it fairly attractive auction (if youve got that kinda $$ lying around). $4 isnt a bad deal at all.

Sega Bass Boxset was only released in Australia

You learn something new everyday :D
Ill have to keep my eyes peeled..

There was a 99% complete PAL DC collection (just missing Taxi 2) on eBay UK around a year ago. Can't remember what it went for though :(

haha and Taxi 2 is so easy to get, well, not easy, but no problem

@thegreatescape

yeah if u spot a Bass Boxset it would be very kind of you to offer it to me :) (i wouldn't have the money right now though, only if it's cheap)

I've seen this auction before, and man, I wish I had the money for it. I actually still play my dc, so I would be in heaven here. And if I had 3k, then I would have plenty enough to dish out for a sonic le, and getting shenmue is dirt easy.

i agree with brisbkc that part of the fun is hunting the games in the wild.

BTW, if someone doesnt know if thats a complete collection, theres a dreamcast release checklist over at sega.com

Impressive. Dreamcast might not have the best games available, but i have a good memory of it in the old days.

According to DP, a complete collection, including all the variations (not for resales, all stars, and regular) is only worth a little over $2100. That would be for 275 games all said and done (252 unique titles - including Bleems).

He counted Sega Swirl as a game (which DP doesn't consider a game), but he has the three Bleems in the Bonus section. So officially, his game count is 250. From what I can tell, it is a complete US DC game collection except for the regular edition of Shenmue and the LE version of Sonic.

Very impressive, but I think it was a bit overpriced. Which is probably why it didn't sell.
