Interesting arcade related find

My family made our weekly trip to Chuck E. Cheese today. They're pretty lame today compared to when I was a kid. Anyway, they gave us our free tokens and my daughter was picking through the coins. She gave one to me and said that I could have it because it was different from the rest. Well I looked at the coin and it is a Space Invaders token from the Video Expo at 1982 Worlds' Fair in Knoxville Tennessee!!

I couldn't believe my eyes. Not really a valuable find but definitely surprising to get it out of the dispenser. Needless to say I didn't use it. Funny that it has been floating in circulation for 12 years.

No, that's pretty cool when you consider the era it came from. Tokens, and their collectible value, if any, have been discussed in other threads. I recently found a 1988 Chuck E. Cheese token there on a recent visit and kept it mainly just to show my wife how different it was from the newer ones. She just gave me that look O_O for even noticing this.

I have tons of different tokens. I like to save my unique ones. I ahve to say though that space invaders one is freaking cool. Never heard of it.
