Working on future gamecube PAL rarity list

Ok,after hours of "driving around" and spending LOTS of cash for gas(thanx to the ridiculous gas prices) I've done a small list of gamecube games and consoles-bundles but only for PAL region(as I live in Austria) which COULD be "rare" in future.I've even talked to several store-managers how much copies they got from different games and stuff.

Games:
I don't know exactly how much copies of some games the U.K. gets but those "uncut" PAL versions are in great demand here:

Turok Evolution (PAL uncut) -- This pal version is only avaiable in limited quantities outside the U.K.
Bloodrayne -- wasn't even released outside the U.K. for cube
Dead to Rights -- same here

Pool Paradise -- no publisher was found for outside the U.K.

Whirl Tour -- low quantities (at least in europe);got mine for 10 euros...hehe

just wanted to let you know i've already got (and are regularly updating) a complete PAL release list, so do not try to do one, there's no need, i'm fine with you doing future rarities though...

all not rare at all, there are about 25 other UK only releases, those are not rare, the UK is the biggest market in europe, anything that's not especially rare there is very easy to get for everyone



Whirl Tour -- low quantities (at least in europe);got mine for 10 euros...hehe

low quantities? well, could be, but i've seen this game in nearly any store i have been too, they always only had 1 copy, but mhhh, this game is available everywhere for 10-15

i don't expect this one to be be sold in HUGE quantities, but i see it everywhere too, for that starting retail price this should not get too rare

here are some releases that have limited quantities and/or didn't sell good at all:

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles (Limited Edition incl. GBA-Link-Cable) , i think 10.000 copies in Germany

Charlies Angels - total crap and didn't sell good, even with the license
Scorpion King - ^^
maybe also Tarzan Freeride and games like Cel Damage, Taz ....

and here are two top rarities in the future:

WWE Crush Hour & WWE Wrestlemania 8
Spyro the Dragon & Crash Bandicoot

those have both been released in a Double-Game-Pak... sorry, description in german, too hard for me in english:

"Die beiden WWE und Spyro/Crash wurden (zumindest in Deutschland) jeweils in einem Doppelpack angeboten, da waren jeweils die beiden Spiele mit so einem Pappding in OVP-Größe mit logo der beiden spiel drauf dabei und dazu noch ein karton-band das um die beiden spiele rum geht, die Spiele an für sich sind natürlich nicht rar, aber die pappdinger (also das doppelpack), ich wette 99% aller käufer haben die weggeschmissen, das wird locker eine R7+"

going to be pretty rare, didn't sell good in France, on ebay only once in a while already, i'm hopefully getting this one at the end of this year, this one's going to be even tougher than Taxi 2 for DC is now...

yeah i know my stuff (at least i think so) but PAL exlusives is a question i can't answer really :(

Taxi 3 is a PAL exclusive, Maxplay is too
i'd say none of the games released in Germany are PAL exclusives, MAYBE some of the UK-only ones, though all Nickelodeon games + things like "Mary-Kate & Ashley - Sweet 16" should have been released in the US too ;)

there are no Cricket or Rugby games yet for Gamecube (there's a rugby game for PS2 though) so those also aren't there as exclusives (yet)

yeah AC is coming to Europe this year, but there is a PAL version in Australia ;)

to be honest i think Nintendo was right to not bring AC to Europe yet, too few people have the internet connection to play that one... :(

you can get Taxi 3 here, or, well YOU can't get, but if you know a French he can order it for you :)

I have a copy of Taxi 3 that that I found in November in Paris. Not very common anywhere even then and I think I paid 30 Euros for it at the big FNAC on Champs-Elysees. Horrible, horrible game btw.

I just got back from another trip to Paris and I had ZERO luck locating another copy of Taxi 2 or 3. I didn't even see the PS2 version of Taxi 3 which was fairly common last time.

Did score a brand new Pinball Fantasies(US SNES for 5 Euros) and added DDR GB3 to my GB collection. Sadly the dollar is very weak against the Euro right now which makes gamebuying a bit expensive in Paris.

Yep, US residents can order it. I have one. Bought it from that codejunkies site. With a freeloader its playable on a US system, though the picture is in black & white. It was still really cheap to get shipped to the US too.

Sorry for digging up an old thread but I have been meaning to find a PAL gamecube list but with no luck. I don't understand why I can't search with the word PAL with the DG search engine, it says that because it has fewer than 4 letters. Anyway, hydrox, would you mind sharing your list or I am actually just interested in the total number of PAL gamecube games that were released.

I don't know about BloodRayne, but Dead to Rights and Pool Paradise were released here in Australia (and probably New Zealand). I remember even seeing a decent stack of Pool Paradise in one of EB's '2 for $50' sales years ago. Guess I should have picked it up then. :]

Also I did a horrific YouTube video (http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=HaK2zPGBDzo) of MaxPlay Classic Games a while ago. Christ it's terrible.
