Well, that takes care of that. On-File, the online archive of video game fanzines, has been entirely redesigned, and I think you'll really like the improvements I've made. The layout no longer sucks, it's easier to find the fanzines you want to read, and best of all, I've added in some new content! Well, new to On-File, anyway. If any of you out there are fans of Tips & Tricks, you'll be happy to know that On-File now features selections from Fantazine, an excellent newsletter written by T&T contributor Pat Reynolds. This is in addition to over a dozen other gaming fanzines by such Internet personalities as Josh Lesnick (Slipshine, Girly) and Chris Kohler (Wired, Kobun Heat).

If you've got any comments or suggestions for the further improvement of the site, please let me know. I haven't been this excited about On-File since it first debuted five years ago!

JR

P.S. Special thanks to Frank Cifaldi (The Red Eye) for his generous donation of server space. Without his support, the On-File Project would not be possible.

Bump for Awesome

I'll check it out in greater detail later. A 'zine lexicon = awesome.

You need to promote that site more, Neko!

Seeing this thread title reminded me of that LL Cool J song "Momma Said Knock you Out"

I'm tryin', I'm tryin'! Brandon Sheffield mentioned it on the front page of his fantastic underground video game web site Insert Credit, and I've talked about it on a handful of other video game forums. I'm going to pester Chris Bieniek of Tips & Tricks about it later today, in the hopes of getting the site mentioned in that magazine. We'll see what comes of it.

Great news! I was just wondering about this the other day. Hopefully, I'll be able to check it out later, but my web browser isn't cooperating at the moment. I'll just assume that it's because your site is just swamped with traffic.

On a related note, my website is the #1 Google rank for "Stryper sucks." So it's good news for everybody!

Heh, good one, Dan. The day one of my sites is overwhelmed with traffic is the day they let Charles Manson out of prison for good behavior. LOL

Anyway, later today I'll be adding another fanzine to the archive. If you never had the opportunity to read my old newsletter The Gameroom Blitz, you'll get your chance very, very soon.

After that, I'll be freshening up some of the outdated content in the Who's Who list and hunting down typos. I had to type a LOT of that stuff in by hand (lousy no-good rassa-frassin' OCR software...) and I just know there'll be some mistakes I'll need to correct.

Looks great Jess, I especially liked reliving those old embarassing letters that I wrote in to you. Oh, well what can you do? :)
