I replaced the 72-pin connector in my NES and i have tried 3 different Game Genies in it and they will not work with it at all. All i get is a blue or a grey screen and nothing happens. :bad-words:

Before i fixed the NES i had to use the game genie to get the games to work so i know it works and i know the connector works because the games work on the first try.

Anyone know what could be causing the Game Genie to not work on my fixed NES? :?

"New" connector eh?

I can't tell you which of the 72 connector contacts are consistently not functioning, but I can assure you one or more of them are not and never will make contact.

Sorry.

I replaced the connector currently in my NES with another one i had sitting around and now my GG works in my NES.

I guess i did have one of those "BAD" connectors

Thanks for the info!

One in four everyone. One in four.

A person could have a faulty one and not know it too. That 'dead' cart they have may not really be dead too. :eek 2:

It really sucks.
