I am sick of people using terms that they don't understand or when they want to rewrite the definition of a word for their auction. The worst is a guy who listed "complete" as game only or "mint" as perfect except for one or two minor flaws (try near mint). If I knew how to make a link I would so I will post the auction # and one of you can make the link. Please list the most outragous and misleading use of terms for an auction here. My collection would have cost half as much if people knew what these words meant.

O.K. one of the guys I'm talking about goes by silvermermaidus on ebay and has removed the term "complete" to refer to a game without box and instructions from his auctions. I guess complaining does get something acomplished sometimes (It was his wife's idea to refer to "GAME ONLY" auctions as "COMPLETE") I'm curious to hear your horror stories. ALSO if you are not a perfectionist like me I have duplicates of lots of games for trade (near mint).

I remember my first bid, it was horrible. I bid on a Neo Geo CD that was "complete". I won the bid and paid for the item. No contact from the seller, so i waited. A few weeks later, still no package. I emailed the guy several times, but he did not reply. I kept on trying. After about a month and i half i finally got an email from him saying he would send. My hopes went up, but after a few weeks and still no package, i was getting angry. I tryed to email him again, but he was not responding. I was extremely mad at this point :angry: So i sent him the final email, i told him that if i did not get the package in one more week i would put a stop payment on the transaction and inform eBay. Within two days, my package arrived, but it was hardly complete. All i got was the console, no controller, no hook ups, no box. Just the unit. How's that Complete?

maybe, but i got the item, even if i did have to get a controler, AC adapter and A/V cables for an item that was "complete" :grumble:

Why are you naming names (WHICH BY THE WAY YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO, IT IS SLANDEROUS, OR DID YOU NOT READ THE STATEMENT YOU AGREED TO WHEN JOINING THIS FORUM). I am going to contact the help forum if my name is mentioned again, and you better try to find a way to get the comment with silvermermaidus (that's me) removed. You've never bid on an auction from us, so I don't even know how you can judge us without ever receiving something from us before. There is no universal way to grade games and for anyone else that is interested we have never had a problem with a buyer complaining about the condition of a game. That is the point of reading an auction, so you know what you are getting when you buy. At least we are specific with our grading when others just general say in excellent condition or plays like new without specifying what that means. The next time you complain, complain about something or someone you have actually dealt with. Thank you.
