Does anyone know what I would need to play PAL import PS2 games on my American NTSC PS2?
I managed to use one of those "Swap Magic" disc sets to play my imports, but I'm having trouble seeing the PAL image on my TV.
All of the games I'm playing are originals and not backups.
Thanks in advance

Damn....
Now if I could only get "Conan" to work, I'll be in hack n' slash heaven.

bump.
Yes, I still haven't figured out a way to play my PAL PS2 games on my NTSC PS2.
Please, is there anyone out there that knows anything? I'm dying to play Underworld and Conan.

If you've got the games to boot OK on your NTSC machine with the Swap Magic disk, then it sounds like it's a TV problem - your NTSC TV isn't capable of displaying a PAL image, and you'll probably need either a PAL-compatible TV or an RGB monitor.
However, some PAL PS2 games also include an optional 60Hz mode which should display OK on NTSC. I don't know which ones, or how to activate it though.

I have PAL PS2 Test unit - with 110 VAC PSU by the way o_O - and it works fine with both NTSC/PAL PS2 titles. the slight issue is with PAL PSX titles. So far about dozen titles I tested ran ok on my SONY Waga TV but I'm waiting for the component cable to test on my Plasma screen... if it doesn't work well on YUV the unit is going back for NTSC PS2 Test...
cheers

Holy crap. You have a new 3.3 version CD Bootup disc?
Mine is the older 3.2 version, which was 'new' a few months ago. Maybe I shouldn't have jumped the gun and bought one prematurely.
