Anybody a Ebay expert on NES game prices?

Hi, I'm trying to sell my NES systems and games. I have 3 NES systems. They are all working. I've decided that I'm going to have 3 NES system packages. Each package would include a NES, the original Power Adapter, the RF unit, the Zapper Gun and 2 controllers. I'm also going to include a number of games with each system, but I'm trying to determine which games to package with the system and which to sell individually.

Obviously I'm trying to maximize the amount of money that I can get for this stuff.

Those are all the NES games I have 68 total games. I would like to divide a large number of those 68 games among the three NES system packages that I'm going to sell. And then I would also like to sell some games individually, just because they are more valuable, and I would get more money by selling them that way.

But I'm just not too sure what to do, because some of these prices that Digital Press has for these games seem out of whack with what I'm familar with. Some seem way undervalued, and some seem way overvalued. So I'm trying to figure out which games should definitely be packaged with the systems and which games should definitely be sold individually.

Here are some of the games that I would imagine would be the "LEAST" valuable from that list:

1. Super Mario Bros. - worth less than a dollar for sure
2. Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt - worth less than a dollar
3. Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt - worth less than a dollar
4. Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt/World Class - I would think this is less than a buck, but DP values it at $3
5. The Adventures of Bayou Billy - worth a buck
6. Bases Loaded - worth a buck or less
7. Goal - worth a buck or less
8. Hoops - worth a buck or less
9. Top Gun - worth a buck or less
10. 10 Yard Fight - worth a buck
11. Gyromite - worth a buck
12. Track N Field - worth a buck
13. Track N Field II - worth a buck
14. Tiger Heli - worth a buck
15. Star Force - worth a buck
16. R.B.I Baseball - worth a buk or less
17. Racket Attack - worth a buck
18. Mag Max - worth a buck
19. Astyanax - worth a buck
20. Destination EarthStar - worth a buck


Here are some games from that list that I would imagine to be the "MOST" valuable:

1. Contra - I know this can fetch up to $18 or so on Ebay
2. Dragon Warrior - I think this old RPG Classic is worth $5
3. Win, Loose or Draw (Complete) - This is my only complete game. Plus it's a Rare 3, Value $5, and that is for a loose version of the game.
4. Battletoads - DP values it at $5, don't know about that, but could be close
5. Captain Comic (upside down label) - This is kindof rare at a Rare 4, plus it's valued at $5, and this is the most rare version. The one with the upside down label.
6. Ninja Gaiden - DP only values NG at $3, but I think it gets more on Ebay.
7. Adventures of Link (grey) - again only valued at $3, but I think it gets more on Ebay
8. Adventures of Link (gold) - again only valued at $3, but I think it gets more on Ebay
9. Metroid - Only valued at $3, but I think it gets more on Ebay
10. The Legend of Zelda (gold) - I think it's worth more than 3 on Ebay
11. Tecmo Bowl - They have it valued at only $2, but I think it's worth more on Ebay.
12. Super Mario Bros. 2 - They have it only valued at a buck, but I thought that No. 2 was worth more?
13. LifeForce - Worth more than $3 on Ebay?
14. Gradius - Worth more than $3 on Ebay?
15. Mike Tyson's Punch Out - worth more than $3 on Ebay?
16. Bionic Commando - Worth more than $3 on Ebay?


Here are some games that I think DP has overvalued, but maybe I'm wrong:

1. All-Pro Basketball - They value this at $5 ? What? I thought it was only worth a buck, if that.
2. Knight Rider - They value this at $5 ? Again, thought this was worth maybe a buck.
3. Stealth A.T.F. - They value this at $5 ?
4. Little Nemo: Dream Master - They value this at $5 ?
5. Monopoly - They value this at $5 ?
6. Treasure Master - They value this at $5
7. Dungeon Magic: Sword of the Elements - They value this at $5 ? I do happen to have the manual, but still, I thought it was only worth $2
8. Crystalis - They value this at $5
9. Code Name: Viper - They value this at $5
10. Abadox: The Deadly Inner War - They value this at $5 ? I thought maybe $2 or $3.


Anyways, I'm just trying to get an idea of what are the most valuable and least valuable games from that list of 68 games, as far as Ebay is concerned anyways.

I'm sure that on Ebay, some games that aren't very rare are valued more, just because people have a fondness for the game and want to play it, but can't find it locally. I also understand that some of the games that DP values at more money aren't worth squat on Ebay, because some people have no clue whatsoever about rarity, but I'm just trying to figure out how I should make these 3 NES system packages, and then what games to just sell individually, or maybe in a little NES game lot, without the system.


Any help from any of you Ebay experts would be greatly appreciated.

I am not an expert but I have sold several NES systems and games and I have a very good idea of ebay pricing, so here is what I would probably do.

First, do not throw a bunch of games in with a NES system. You will get more money selling them alone or as a group.

Package Super Mario Brothers 1, 2 and 3 with the NES Systems. If you want, put a 40.00 BIN on it. That's what I've sold them at.They will sell within two days. That's 120 bucks already.

Games you will want to sell by themselves:

Contra goes from anywhere from 9-15, but it averages about 10 or eleven bucks.

Mike Tyson's Punch-out usually sells for 5-10 bucks.

Selling Zelda 1 and 2 together should net you a quick ten.

Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, Bionic Commando, RBI Baseball should be sold by themselves. All worth a few bucks. Metroid usually gets to about 5, the others 2-3.

Group TMNT 1 and 2 together.

I may have missed a game or two that is worth money, but everything else would probably be better sold in groups of ten. A decent mix of ten games usually net about 20 bucks.

It seems like a pain in the ass to sell most of it piece by piece, but I swear you will almost double your money doing it that way. You should be able to get around 200 bucks or more for that lot: however if you sold it as 3 NES systems plus 68 games, you would probably only fetch 125-150.

Hey, thanks for the tip. That's a pretty good idea.

What I originally was thinking was selling the 3 NES systems as "NES system with 20 Games and Extras!" type of thing. And since each system would have a Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt with it, it could actually be 19 cartridges, but advertised as 20 games. I have two Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt games that would go with 2 systems and then I would use the Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet with one of the systems and on that one it would really actually be 20 games on 18 cartridges.

That would still leave me 12 games to sell individually. Of course, I would sell the 12 most valuable games individually.

I'm thinking that I would get $50 for each of those 3 NES systems with 20 Games packages, and that I could easily get $50 for the 12 most valuable NES games, so that would equal $200 too.


Thing is, I'm still not absolutely positive which 12 games would fetch the most sold individually.

Sell the following with BIN
RBI Baseball $5
TMNT $5
TMNT 2 $5
Simpsons $5
Monopoly $5
Tyson Punch Out $12
Metroid $7
LifeForce $6
Contra $15
Battle Toads $5
Link $6

Super Mario Bros 1, 2, 3 for $15 each

Then sell 3 systems with however many games left over for BIN $50

Just my humble opinion, but that's about what they're going for lately.
