I've been looking for one of these for a while now. My experience to date (before this morning) was that they don't come up that often, and when they do they're kind of expensive. Did I get lucky, or are these just not worth what I thought they were?

The auction said "buy it now", so I did. $150.

I got one like that but 1 monitor has a blown fuse for $125... I think they're pretty awesome, although they weigh WAY too much for anyone to carry.

Depending on shipping, I'd buy one of those for $150 any day.

The Nintendo VS is all about the games. The better the games that come with it, the more it's worth. As far as the cocktail by it's self, it's not really sought after. It's very heavy and just doesn't have the nostalgic feeling to it. You paid about what it's worth.

Shipping is me driving ~200 miles to pick it up.

I'm looking at it this way ... it's 2 games for $150. Now I can get rid of that big ass dual Vs. Cabinet I own that won't fit into my gameroom.

That is a great deal! These are pretty common machines, but I paid $250 for mine which was much more beat up then that. These are no raritys at all, but definatly a nice find for $150.

My dual cabinet also has Excitebike, one of my favorite games. Anyone know how easy it is to swap boards on these?

I am not sure cause I ahve never done it, but it looks pretty easy. The boards hang on the side and look like they can slide out decently easy.

You don't change the boards, you change the roms on the board to play other games. Check ebay, they are on there pretty often.

Daaaamn.... I would love that. Soooo much. $150 would be a nice price. I'd like to know what shipping would have been out of curiosity. Where is this one located? I'd be curious as to whether it was close to me... well, within distance I'd be willing to go.

That is so cool.

Nope, I haven't had it fixed yet as I don't know where to look :(

Oh, and what you guys were saying about swapping games: I personally have never switched ROM chips, but I do own 2 boards: 1 that has Vs. Baseball on each side and another that has RBI Baseball and Vs. Super Mario Bros.

To anyone that has taken the board out of his machine: When you reconnect it, does the cable ever get loose when you close the top of the machine? That happens a LOT to me.

Querjek was right, these things are WAY too heavy for their own good.

Jasoco, this one was located in Hutchinson, KS (about 30 or so miles northwest of Witchita). It was about a 3 1/2 hour drive from me.

As promised, the game was in perfect working order. I ended up BS'ing with the guy for almost an hour. The place was a vending shop, and the guy was nice enough to give me a little mini tour of the place. Saw a ton of old cabinets like Crystal Castles, Phoenix, Skull and Crossbones and some others. They also had some old pinballs being worked on and a room full of broken jukeboxes that had me kicking myself for not bringing my trailer.

Was it Lawrence Vending company, by any chance? Over on 4th street?

If so, that's where I got my karma Rastan machine.

I live here in Hutch.

I bought the Castlevania VS. standup version a couple of years ago as a birthday present for my son. It cost me $350. I got at the local pinball/arcade reseller.

I didn't catch the name, but I think that's the place! It was on the corner of 4th and Carey I believe. The guy who sold me the game (Jason) was really cool ... we hung out and talked for almost an hour and he showed me around the shop. Kick ass place, I would love to have that much room to work on my stuff. I was really wishing I had brought a trailer!

If I make it up there for another run of stuff we will definitely have to do lunch or something! My friend and I ate at .. Spangles?

Yeah...Spangles. More chrome and neon per square inch than Vegas.

Anyway, that's the place alright. Lawrence Vending @ 412 N. Carey. The people there are pretty nice. Dave (I don't know if he's still there, but probably so) loaned me a couple of working Pac Man PCBs so I could compare readings and swap parts to locate my problems on MY Pac PCB. I could have kept the boards, or swapped components and kept them, or messed theirs up...who knows? But they lent them to me anyway, free of charge. And I did locate my problem (bad pin on daughterboard). And I did return their boards to them in their original condition, and they werent worried or nervous or anything. "Did that do the trick?" "Yep!"

Anyway, when I refer to my "karma Rastan machine", I mean this:

It also came from Lawrence Vending.
