OMG!!!11!!1!1! Man is this guy l337!

Maybe we can make him a member of this fine website, seeing as there are so few people that are as crazy to as collect 1270+ PSOne games.

Upon sluthing this crazy's site I see that he's mentioned of all people ME! Weird!! How crazy is that! http://www.game-rave.com/variant/index.html :D

OMG, looks like Jason got, as he mentioned himself, "I must have everything complete" symdrome. I have that mentality too but I tend to focus on systems with mid size library and any complete collection I pursue has to have overwhelming majority of games I want.

For me, the problem with current systems (PS2, GC, Xbox) is the % of garbage games, which is way higher than previous 16 and 32 bit systems, so I have absolutely no urge collecting those other than a small, but significant portion of GC games (less than 40%). Thanks to Sony and MS for curing my addiction of collecting by bringing out so many craps.

Nonetheless, we all have to give Jason credits for the effort he put in for PS1, if you check his main site, he also has complete collctions of other systems as well as accessories and game-related merchandise, I think only Joe comes close to been this hardcore.

And I'll be going HardCore cold turkey for a while. After discussing it with a friend, yeah, I have OCD. Better than OPP I guess.

Thanks for the compliments though.

Although, any bad game can be made good with the right Cheat Disc Codes ;)

That and I plan on eventually doing a PSX version of AtariAge.com...just haven't been able to get around to doing the smaller stuff first.

Wow! I've never seen anything like that before, that's incredible! My hats off to you, Dangerboy! And to Sony too. That has to be the largest library ever offered for a single system. 1270 games!? Man, I've only got 1100 more to go! I absolutely love those long boxes. I have such a soft spot for them that I never miss a chance to pick up one of those when I see 'em. And I never realized the Namco museums spelled NAMCO when lined up together either. Sheesh! Great pics and great collection!

Hey, I don't see Resident Evil in it's original "long box". ;) Great job, wish I could put together something like that. :D

I still need 8 long box variants, not sure on the jewel case variants. I think I can beat back my OCD enough to NOT collect the GH versions ^^;

Sigh.
My name is Jason, and I have a problem.

After doing some math, looking over some bills, and getting a phone update from my step dad, reality has woken up and kicked me in the face. I need help.

That said, I have hidden away my credit cards, I have cancelled all but one $9.99 auction, and started pricing up every last possible duplicate/estra/non-needed video game item I can come across. My spending spree ways have caught up with me, and now I must pay.

Literally.

I know it's not the video games themselves, it's the actual spending. Looking back at my comic book collection, and to a degree, the baseball cards I have, this 'i must complete everything' disease can strike terror anywhere. I do not know what it is...nothing I touch can evade the virus.

So it goes.

jason

Nice collection, but there is always a price to pay.....

That is one hell of a collectiong Dangerboy. Don't ya own the entire us library of tg16 games too? That is one hell of a lot of games, lol.

I would love to find a longbox doom and get some old school fps shooting on. =D Does this US collection also include that elemental gearbolt special edition thing? Is it pictured? I didn't notice it, but that was at 5am this morning when I was getting ready for work, so...

Wow way to be a naysayer, and not back it up with "your missing this".

If you've read, or looked when Dangerboy has mentioined this before, Jason has at least A version of every commerically released US Game, so if your going after the NBA 2Ball argument, then that can be nipped in the bud right there (Trust me he and I are both trying for this thing). Same as your missing X long box title, theres a JewelCase copy in there. I might not have seen these in person, but ive helped Jason get this beast completed over the last year, and to hear someone just blow off this achievement really irks me.

-Hellvin- No it doesnt have the "Assassins Case" as its limitedness is less than 50 copies, and was a promotion E3 giveaway. It was never a released thing. However if Dangerboy came into one, he'd go after it, if he didn't he'd pass it towards me (I'd like to think).

Even Sabrina the Teenage Witch?

Have you actually played all of these games? Great effort though.

There's something about his quote that screams poor sportsmanship (because collecting is somewhat compeative), even if Dangerboy were to be missing a tilte, which I don't say he is, it's still an extremely impressive collection and must have involved a lot of money, time and hard work to aquire.

Congratulations. (:

Is there a valid reason to say this? Come on. x_x It's a unique and awesome collection, with a copy of every game. That says complete to me.

to the person that said not complete....you might want to reconsider spending time on this internet site and find something better to do if you have such a negative attitude.

Yep, not near as complete as my... drum roll please, one US PS game. Yes, it's hard to believe that someone could amass such a huge amount of games. LOL

I say again, those chumps didn't stand a chance.

Hey, I had one of those! I traded it for a NIB Virtual Lab a couple years ago though. I'd love to get another one someday. It was probably the coolest looking promotional set for a game I've ever seen.

That has to be the largest library ever offered for a single system. 1270 games!?

The Japanese PsOne library is north of 4K titles!!! @_@

FYI: The Japanese Famicom(NES) has 1249 titles released.

The worldwide number of Gameboy titles should be rather large too.

Other than Game Boy and Japanese PSOne, what other systems have over 1000 games in the library?

I can think of:

Japanese SuperFamicon
Jp/US/PAL PS2

Any more?

I would love to find a longbox doom and get some old school fps shooting on.
http://jasoco.no-ip.com/pages/col/images/images/doom/d1-psx.pngI have that version, (No manual. :() and it is by far the BEST version of DOOM available on a Console. DFinal DOOM was close, but not nearly as good as there are a LOT less levels. I was disappointed in that one. But the regular DOOM is great. Good luck finding it. I stumbled onto it one day by pure coincidence. Played all the way through it. It allows you to go all the way through the first game with all four episodes then all the way through DOOM II. Of course, sadly, a lot of levels are missing. Especially the Wolfenstein ones, but you can't have everything. I have yet to see a PERFECT Console DOOM. But it is the best of all the versions. And I know, I have almost all of them (http://jasoco.no-ip.com/doom.php).

(If anyone can help with DOOM for 3DO or DOOM II for GameBoy Advance, please let me know! I'm two games short of the full thing!)

Actually, I went over to gamedude's today cause he has a ton of longbox games in the bottom rack of his psx section and he had it in longbox with the manual (although missing front and back cover I thinK?) for like 18 bucks. It's one hell of a good port. I played it for quite a bit. Only thing not perfect is the music, it's just kinda ambient background noise.

Jasoco
07-03-2004, 12:35 AM
Hell, I'd buy it again just for the manual, and sell the extra manual-less one to make the money back. That's how desperate I am.

Of course, I'd have to do it with the Jaguar version too. I'm missing the manual there as well as the box and manual for the SNES one and N64 one. Other than that, I'm set.

Have a little work to do to complete this collection.
