View Full Version : just got a genesis 3 and the screen bounces up and down....
what do you think the problem is? It's hooked up via RF adapter and the game doesn't bounce until it's been on for about 1 minutes. What's weird it, I played Aladin (yeah,lol...it came with it) for about an hour with no problem, then I take it over to my girl's house and pop in Shanghai II, and right when the tiles lay down, it starts bouncing. It also went a few games without doing so?
do you think it's the RF? or the system? or the game? We played the same game on my genesis 1 for hours and nothing ever happend like this.
any ideas would be appreciated?

First off, Aladdin was an awesome platformer on Genesis, so don't dawg it until you really get to the 3rd stage or then some. I ain't kidding, then grab some Ghouls N' Ghosts...but that's just me :D
As for your problem, it looks like it's the RF's fault. It's the only thing that has concern about the image.
I'd recommend switching to an AV Cable or finding a better RF

that happened with my old Playstation on an old ass console TV. I have no idea what causes the screen to do that, but you may want to try to hook the console to the VCR rather than the TV and see if that helps at all...

it was hooked up in the vcr, when it was doing it everytime. Then I switched it straight to the tv and now it's doing it every once in a while.
As for Aladin, I got to stage 5 or 6 and liked the game...but it's not my fav. I liked climbing across the wires at the top of the town and slicing the big red birds. :) Once I got past the bats on I think level 2-3, I was happy. Those bats are a pain, as are the exploding skeletons. :D I would have kept playing but had to go out.
thanks for the info guys, I will look into getting the genesis 3 av hookup and see how that helps. I needed one for my Nomad anyways.
