I am tring to bump up my collection by quite a bit, and I would like to add a lot of shooters to it. I would appreciate any suggestions. I am looking for games like Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga. Also it doesn't matter which system they are on. Thanks for the help ahead of time.

I really love the saturn as you can see. I think it's really the only worthwhile shooter system, although the tg16/duo has a ton of shooters as well, those are the only ones Ive actually played though.

Any and all Parodius games. In my opinion, the best 2-D Shooter series around.

You can't lose with Zanac on NES, R-Type Final for PS2, Border Down on DC, and Galactic Attack for Saturn.
There's a lot of good import shooters, if you can't guess :D

I just got borderdown as well. It's not the greatest shooter but is totally worth checking out. Very addicting.

The previous incarnation, though, has more reviews, methinks:
