I found this in the paper with a deal I couldn't pass up. Dragon Spirit was one of my favorite shooters during the NES era so I couldn't resist the full size cab. I came with the manual and all I really need is some new caps for the monitor and some locks for the coin doors. Save for a few tiny bad spots, the side art is still amazing.

The guy had some more 80's cabs (arkanoid, 1943, etc.) on his property and about 12 more at a place he just shut down, being ready to moved. I didn't see much on his property that I wanted, so I don't know if I'll be going back since I didn't know what he had to move yet.

I can see how you need a new cap kit, one side of the monitor seems to be curving inward. That is a great obscure choice though, I love the NES port's music.

It'd be neat to mount the board for Dragon Saber in there at the same time but alas, only one joystick for that cab, apparently.

Dragon Spirit X_x

I used to own it for the Famicom. It was awesome.

I'm guessing you got it for a great price? :)

Very nice fine. A 1942 arcadde gamne would be a nice addition.

$150

As for the "black max" my game room is dissassembled (and was in the basement anyways) so the only place to keep the cab is in the garage. I have a feeling my dad will be sneeking in rounds while I'm away. :P

Just be sure to get the coin locks first -- that way, it can act as a piggy bank while you're gone!

Congrats on the purchase kiddo. That cabinet appears to be in really, really good shape. I've gone to buy "restored" games that didn't have artwork that nice. Hopefully you can find someone in your neck of the woods (or maybe pop?) to help with that cap kit. I haven't taken the plunge yet either, but from all I've read it's not too difficult if you have any soldering skills at all.

That's a STEAL for a dedicated Dragon Spirit.....I think the PCB alone is worth $150....

nice deal, one awesome cab! I love that game on my tg16.

Sigh...everytime I see one of these threads I kick myself for passing up that double dragon 2 cab at this huge ass pawnshop.
