I'd go for the Turbo Duo just because it's more expensive. If you don't have to pay, mine as well go for the most expensive stuff. You should easily be able to find a cheap Saturn and games on your own. And this is coming from someone who owns a Saturn but not a Duo, so I definitely don't have a biased opinion.....

Saturn is easier to find in the wild cheap than a Duo, by far. Since it's a one shot deal, I'd go Duo based on rarity alone.

Duo for reason already stated above. I love the Saturn but I'm not that big a fan of early 3D. The turbo 16 has so much charm IMO Duo all they way. Get the Saturn later on.

They are both a lot of fun, but get the Turbo Duo. The $$$ is reason alone, but my biased opinion says look at my avatar... and I don't like lousy games.

I'd go with the Duo as well...Saturns are dirt common...easy to get. Duos are quite hard to find.
If you don't mindhaving your father pay 200+ for the system and games go for the duo. But from what I've seen the Saturn has more entertainment value.IMO of course.

Saturn=entertainment
Modded Saturn= The only system you'll ever need.

You just asked what's 'better', chocolate or vanilla.
LOL
Vanilla makes a mean shake, but I'm chocolate's bitch.

Get a Duo, and have D-Lite do a region mod.
Don't get me wrong, Saturn is a GREAT system, one of my favorites, but as stated earlier, Duos aren't easy to come by, especially for cheap.
I'd go for the Duo. Personally, some of those games look rather nice imo...

Honest opinions? Fuck! I usually just spout out bold faced lies all over the board. But JUST THIS ONE TIME I will be honest. Just this once, than I go back to being a lying bastard.
Fun = Saturn. Saturn is a great system with great games. I just picked up my 8th one yesterday at a goodwill. THat's right, 8th, and I never pay over 5.00 for them.
Turbo Duo = no idea. Why? I've never ever ever seen one other than overpriced on eBay. I can't guarantee it will be fun, worth the money as far as entertainment goes, etc etc. Why? I've never seen one.
if you want to have fun, pick the saturn (actually, pick a PS2 or a Gamecube), but don't come crying back when you can't afford a Turbo Duo in the future but have just enough to buy a Saturn on your own.
Take that however you will.

I've got a saturn already, and I love it. However, I'd still go with the turboduo, because it has some great games like bonk and blazing lazers and such. :Enters evil mode: Plus, the turboduo is much more expensive, and you won't have to pay for it!

Funny, when I used to have to make this kind of decision, the options were either a pat on the back or dinner. I usually went with dinner.
In your case, I'd go with the Saturn if you want a more enjoyable and varied library, while the Duo for something a little more obscure and unique. Dear old dad may not know what he's getting himself into with the Duo, so I'd save the poor guy a few bucks and choose the Saturn. You'll both be happy.

The Duo. While it may have more obscure games and/or you may not be familiar with it, it doesn't mean you won't soon learn. Get that system. Read up on games and all the things you can do with it, explore the world of imports, trust me, go for the duo =D.

I'd say the Duo has more and varied titles. Over 700 games for the Duo, and many easily playable in English. Better play for your money.

Duo all the way. I've had both(chucked the saturn), and don't regret it one bit, saturn to me is and underdeveloped dreamcast, and you can get that anywhere. But the Duo is unlike anything else, with gameplay over graphics.

I'd get a Sega Duo myself.

was anybody lying?
If you count up the votes I think the Duo is in the lead. In my TG-16 collection I have come across far fewer bad games than I have in my Saturn collection.
I think a question that should have been asked a while ago is if you have a set amount of money? Is you dad giving you $250 to buy a system and games. If that's the case as mentioned already your money will go a lot farther with a Saturn.
