Is this a real Prototype? I think to bid on it, when it not goes to high.

(I try to translate the discribtion):
This is a Beta Release from the Sanyo T.R.Y., which was sold in Japan in 1995. This Console (HC - 21) is from the year 1994 and was shown on the CES 1994 in LA. It contains a Sanyo Joypad and TV-Connector. It has no function, because the CD-Rom will not came out. If you turn it On it show only the 3DO Logo and the Alpha Roms. I am not sure if this has ever worked, because it was by the CES only under glass. It is a pure Collectoritem and only for Collectors interesting.

Someone know, how the real console looks like, which was official sold? Does it looks different? :roll:
Or will someone only sell a defect console, which not work as Prototype?

the 3do splashscreen looks somewhat legit to me.
i doubt someone would go through the effort of hacking the bios and
putting it back in just to sell a broken unit at a higher price.
a hires picture of the mainboard would be interesting.
i know the current high bidder from somewhere,(chronomaker) either from dpress or another german retrogaming board.
doubles the chance of being able to take a peek inside, at least. ;)

A Sanyo prototype? So it differs from the actual Sanyo 3DO released?
Man, that console is rare! Weird though, I only remember Sanyo for their vacuum cleaners lol

I think he was wondering if anyone saved the page, not the link. Which someone might just have done, or at least the pictures.

T.R.Y.....the japanese 3do if i remember correctly Dark Watcher had a pic of it on his site
