I didn't know until today that there were both LIVE and non-LIVE versions of Tetris Worlds on the Xbox.

Our store is clearancing them out. But they have two different UPC's. So the older Non-LIVE version comes up $4.99 but isn't even in the database. It scans and checks out, but according to corporate, there are negative numbers of them.

The OTHER version that IS LIVE, comes up $19.99... Heh..

Today, the department manager was trying to change them, the LIVE ones, I guess to $4.99 (Because no one is gonna spend $20 for either version.) but couldn't. So they'll remain $20 for a while sadly. Just a heads up for variant collectors I guess. And an observation.

More information.

Seems both versions are actually DIFFERENT in the graphical department. They changed a bit of the interface on the Live version. Especially how on-screen info is shown. I'm going to have to purchase the Non-Live one and see for myself, because if I don't, who will?

Is there a package variation? I know that there are 2 PS2 versions.

I'll take pictures soon when I can get to my store, but aside from one missing the glowing "LIVE" bar at the top, the screenshots are all different, though the captions for them are all the same for both. So it shows an old version vs a new one. Well, one caption is different. On the Non-Live one, it says "Arcade Mode" and has a picture of four players at once. On the LIVE version, it says "LIVE Mode" or something like that and shows two players with slightly different graphics.

I bought some combination Clone Wars/Tetris Worlds package that mentioned XBox live a lot on the cover. I got this for a penny at Circuit City. Does anybody know what it is?

Those ones came with the Xbox last Christmas. They're a bit different. It's the updated LIVE version, merged with the Clone Wars and a few demos.

Here's the PS2 variation I was talking about, I don't think Xbox is like this but I do know that Gamecube has this variation too...

Both versions and the double-pack have the same front cover. (The second one.) Actually, I like the second one. The first looks crappy and doesn't represent Tetris. There are NO BLOCKS ON IT! It's a landscape! Who came up with THAT cover design?

Front of both, only difference is the LIVE bar and "Experience may change" notice.

Notice slight differences in the UI on both versions.
