Midwesterners: $1 PSX games at Meijer's

Just a heads up:

I was at Meijers this evening and noticed a bunch of hanging tags by the 10 tons of blisterpacked PSX games. Turns out there's a bunch of PSX games on sale for $1.

At my store, not all $1 games were listed on the tags, so you may have to have someone scan games to confirm. Out of the 26 unique games that I could find, 13 were $1. Of the remaining titles, I think that $7.49 was the highest price, the rest at $4.99. The tags indicated that the sale would be going on into August.

They may not be the most stellar titles, but hey, they're only a buck!

As always, YMMV, but it's probably chain-wide.

What titles are we talking here? I know I've seen some craptastic ones in those displays you're talking about.

Hey, it's still worth it to pick them up since Gamerush still has that "trade in any 2 used, get any used for $9.99" deal going on. I'm all out of crappy PS1 games to trade in anyway, so this is a good chance for me to stock up again.

I went to 3 different meijers today and all I found for $1 were buttloads of:

WWF Warzone
VIP
and the A1 Boxing game

All of the other A1 games were marked $4.95

Nothing worth buying, save the gamerush sale

The Meijers that I go to doesn't have their games in the Toy section anymore, it's all enclosed in an area with music, movies, and small appliances. There were like 4 cardboard stands scattered around and an end cap with ps2, psx, gba games in it (all the cardboard displays had gba games)

Off topic, but I remember stopping at that Grand Haven store EVERY DAMN TIME the family and I drove up to the summer place in Ludington...Mom was addicted to some kind of cheese popcorn and that store was the only place that had it. She was so upset when a Meijers opened closer to us and they didn't carry her popcorn. LOL

I'm stopping by the Highland, Indiana store and possibly the Hobart one too around noonish....

I hit a Meijers last night and at lunch today. not much there. just WWF Raw, Boxing and Putter Golf. still worth a look though, you never know what'll turn up.

Damn, the only Meijers we have here is the gas station/convenience store. Seems like odds of finding anything will be pretty low.

Right on, not a bad little sale. Just picked up 4 copies of Top Shop, 2 Boxing, and a Contender 2 all for $1 each. I already had all these titles anyway, but they could be some decent trade-in material at the local Gamerush stores.
