All these deals and stuff has made me think. There needs to be a website that, at least for video games, will give you the best price available for different titles. I think there are websites like this that only cover online retailers. One should exist that will cover normal stores. This could also perhaps be used to price match and get the best deals at stores that offer that.

If this already exists, then please point me in the right direction.

Your at the right website, but it's released in editions and is in book form so you can take it on the road.

Is there a list at that website, or would I just have to look through their message boards?

Online references only though.

I don't think you realize the monumental undertaking of a site that reports brick and mortar prices. You''d have to quite your job and school just to run around, spending hours at a store getting price changes.

Your best bet is to hang around here or the CAG forums. People usually post price drops when they see them.

What I meant is more of a searchable database that would list all of the deals for a certain game. People would submit them, and they would automatically be added. It would rank the deals on each game in order of price, but would not get rid of any unless the new deal actually replaces an older deal at a store. Also, if a deal was fake, or outdated, it could be deleted, and you could always look at the next best deal.

I suppose. It would be fairly easy to implement with PHP and MySQL

But giving the regular user power to add/delete/manipulate data is just begging for problems
