Well, in case you are those that can't afford the new video card, it seems like Doom is coming out in October as a boardgame.

It's continuing a recent mini-trend of video games making their way into the boardgame world. Other notables are Sid Meier's Civilization, Age of Mythology, Warcraft, etc.
It's interesting to see how these games are portrayed as boardgames. Some of them capture the spirit well (like Warcraft), and others try to emulate the videogame too much, and pretty much fail (Sid Meier's Civilization).
FantasyFlightGames, the company that also made Warcraft is behind Doom, and Eagle Games made Civ and AoM. Anyone think that the trend will continue? Any ideas for games that could successfully be made into strategy boardgames? As a fan of both strategy boardgames and videogames, I'm interested in them, but is there really a market for these sorts of things?
