I can't seem to find one, so I am guessing no. After unlocking a few NES classics on Animal Crossing, I was thinking how great it would be to have a GC game filled with like 20 or 30 NES classics. I would think it would sell pretty well.
I mean granted most of us already have these games and an original NES, but it would be nice just the same. I usually only keep 1 system hooked up to my tv at a time and I would like to have the convenience of having a bunch of NES games on 1 disc.

Damn I wish though. It'll be a cold day in Redmond before Nintendo releases one though. As long as they can make a LOT more by reselling each game separately.

I agree 100%, Nintendo does not want to take a path like that, yet Animal Crossing did it for them, (especially when you get Punch Out, Zelda, SMB, Ice Climbers, Wario's Woods unlocked)
Yet, they would make more money by doing so I thought...because each game separately is a pain in the ass to produce already I think.
Just cut the middle men out, and make a $20 disc just like Namco, Activision, Intellivison and Midway have done already

$20 for 20-30 games. No. How about $50 for 100 games. Only the top games. All the Mario's, Star Tropics, Dragon Warrior's, a whole section dedicated to the classic Arcade ports. (Better yet, just put the originals on the thing.)
And the best feature... GBA Download ANY NES game small enough. (Probably only a selection of them can be transferred, still.. awesome.)
Sad it'll be never to be.

Well, Nintendo could do this:
Release the "NES/Classics GB Player" Release a disc with around 10 different NES/SNES/GB/GBC games on it, nothing that they would be able to sell on it's own for 29.99, that comes with a flash cart. The flash cart would allow you to trasfer a game fromt th disk to the card for play on the go. Additional discs could be sold every few months.
Problems with this-
People buy the re-releses of high caliber games, leaving Nintendo with lower tiers titles. Not saying theses games are not good.
They are releasing NES Classic series now. Even some of the second/third tier games will be considered for release under this line for 19.99 a piece.
Flash cards are a bit pricey, although, I am sure they could think of something to hold games on.
May be hard to get the rights to some third party games.
A guy can dream. I love you DC/X-box emu. :D

I've been saying for YEARS that Nintendo and Sega could make a KILLING if they sold ROM's of their games on their website. Each game is portected by a password, and in order to download the game and get it to work you need to pay the download fee and then you're given the password. You need to re-enter the password if you move it to another computer or put it onto a flash cart. Charge anywhere from $2-5 for each game, depending on the title. This would work great for the games that are'nt popular enough for them to sell on it's own while it also would'nt take much hassle or work to do or maintain. Sadly, the companies don't seem to realize the money that they could rake in, especily now that retro gaming is in full swing.

Nah, it'd be much cooler if they had a formidable interest in Online gaming. Think about it, downloading new games from the internet to your GBA. The online signup package would come with a "Gateway" program which would be used to boot to the online place where you could do the downloading. The fee for games would be free as many times as you want, all you pay is the yearly or monthly fee. (I mean, seriously. Playing the games on the GBA will be fun, but would you wanna pay for them? Plus, when you turn it off, they disappear.)
Maybe that Flash Cart idea could be part of the package, the games are saved to the cartridge. The cart can store maybe a dozen or so games, and you can download whichever ones you want to take with you.
But Hackers would have a field day. So it's just pointless.

You would think it's a no brainer. I mean they own the games and it would not cost much to put together a decent compilation disc. I just don't get it. Nintendo realizes it could never sell them one at a time (Nobody is going to rush out and buy SMB for the GC), so why not? I bet if the Metroid compilation disc sells well, we might just see something ike this happen.

They apparently think people will buy SMB and a whole mess of other NES games on the GBA for $20 apiece.
I think it would be neat if you could download NES games through the Gamecube and save them onto a memory card. You could then play them on any Gamecube. They could also release some gizmo that would let you plug the memory card into a GBA. Either that, or a compilation disk.

I play NES games on my GC using the game boy player and a flash cart.

I really am suprised that there is not a collection of NES for the GC. Nintendo has been making millions recycling the same old games over and over and over and over every time a new system comes out.

Why are you suprised? In your second sentence you summed up the exact reason a NES collection for the GC will never happen.

Actually someone already did this for GBA, in Asia, they've hacked NES roms into GBA carts and sell them like 50 in one, 100 in one, etc GBA carts. When I was in Taiwan you can get those for $40-$60 bucks per cart. I had one GBA carts, all NES Mario games plus 120 others, another Pokeman specialty with all Pokeman GB games from original Blue to GBA Ruby/Saphire.
You can find those in Asian malls in Canada, anyone wants to know where to find them in Toronto LMK and I'll reply.
