I was in a thrift today and found this system and about 8 games in their original boxes. What is it's value? Is it worth picking up or leaving there to collect more dust?

I have one,and some games..

I'd say $20.00 total.(For me-IMO)..but then I'd check Ebay..((You never know..

I paid $3.00 for mine with games..complete/no box)..(flea market)
But,I've only found the one I have..I never saw another at a flea market or garage sale.

Another vendor had large boxes of sealed games for it..He couldn't give them away for $1.00 each.

I think I picked up two or three from him before the boxes disappeared..I honestly think he chucked them.. x_x
Now that I know the vendor,he always gives me free stuff..too bad I didn't know him well back then. :(

well, if you really are as your title states an "Obscure Game Collector" then you'll definately want this one to add to the vault. If it's engaging gameplay your after, don't bother.

I also agree with Videogamerdaryll, don't plunk down more than $20 for the lot. I've only got about $30 in my Socrates stuff and I've got a boxed system, 2 loose ones, the mouse peripheral, the drawing pad peripheral and about 5 games 2 of which are boxed.

Yeah, these guys are pretty much right on the money. I got one at a yard sale for $3 myself once...I think it was missing quite a bit, but I've never even powered it on....I think it's tucked away in a hiding space far under my bed somewhere.

But yeah, $20 is a good price. I probably wouldn't go higher than that. If you really want it, $25 would be probably too much, but only got that high if there's no sales tax.


However, if the system is also in its original box, then it's a good deal indeed. Shit ass system from what I hear, tho.
