Sony Announces Launch Dates?

Hard to say if these will change, but any official information is damn hard to come by.

That news on the PSP is nothing new. They made noise a few months ago that ther PSP wont be here by X-mas, and that it was projected for a Q1/April launch. In regards to the PS3 i'd expect that they earliest noise on anything that we'd see is E3 05' when they most likey debut the specs, and depending on the chipsets and such, there might even be early early proto stuff there. Sony has announced that they arnt going to be first out of the gate... they are truly in no "rush" to get something out. They dont need to be.

yeah sony says ita "possible we will see a working ps3 version by the end of the fiscal year" which is april. So basically E3 , but they are still looking at a x-mas 2006, early 2007 launch, and as for the psp, all the developers are disapointing because they want an early 2005 release and no one has the final dev kits yet,there still using emulator systems. now companies like ..mm square-enix arent developing for them anymore. theres a whole article on IGN about it.

This article says we'll see the PS3 in the first half of 2006, however it doesn't specify if that's in Japan or here. If that's a Japan release date, it might be x-mas '06 for us.
