How do you play your consoles without any controllers plugged in? ;) I couldn't be bothered plugging them in each time I want to play something. Great pics though, very nice collection! =)

And you wanna know the best part....the Vectrex is actually plugged up...in the closet! So not only can I play standing up, arcade style, I can play it in total, complete, closet door shut darkness.

believe me, it's a lot cooler than you think.

oh, and the dog's name is "Brownie" LOL

I had my collection set up in a similar fashion (albeit it much smaller). The only problem was one little 4 letter word....dust. It was such a pain in the a$$ dusting all the time and if I didn't, everything would get covered in dust over time. Now I just keep my collection in rubbermaid containers and my systems behind glass. It's a trade off I suppose.

Actually, I used to live in an apartment where about half of the eletrical outlets weren't on my electric bill at all. This included the outlets in - bizarrely enough - one walk-in closet and one wall along one of the bedrooms, which Iwas using as the computer area. So in the closet, I hooked up all of my Apple II computers, and along that wall I hooked up my 4-5 green-screen monitors and ran cables under the closet door to feed them from the computers. <shrug> (What the hell, I was 21 at the time, I had nothing better to do with my life! LOL ) Anyway, I also had several big circuit boards from an old mainframe computer that had been dismantled at my dad's workplace, which he had brought to me sometime when I was a teenager, and I'd hung onto them for shits 'n' giggles (still have some of them, in fact!). I lined them up at the bottom of a desk to keep my kittens from getting back there and munching on power cords and the like, and behind that desk in the corner there was a window whose shutters were broken (and management would never fix them), so I just parked a brick there to keep the shutters closed, and the light would seep in and illuminate those circuit boards along the floor from behind.

Anyway, long story short, an insurance adjuster came to look my place over for renter's insurance. As usual, I had the door to that closet closed, so you just walk in and there's circuit boards lit from behind along the floor, and there's five green monitors showing a bunch of crap - usually demo modes for Taxman or Donkey Kong or what have you for no readily apparent reason other than the fact that it looked cool - and this elderly adjuster looked around the room slowly and then looked at me and said "Is this whole thing....just one big computer?"

I kinda had to explain it to him at that point, or my rates probably would've needed one big computer just to calculate 'em. LOL

Anyway, just a funny true story about games and computers hooked up in the closet there. ;)

barry manilow?

Agreed Barry Manilow is about as sexy as midget porn. The set up on the other hands looks good. Very neat and organized.

OH MY GOD!! OOOOHHH MMMMYYYY GGGGGOOOOOODDDDDD!!!!!

I WANT SOME TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES CEREAL NOW!!!!

Dammit, Cmsmosfmsmmm.. That picture just brought the taste back into my mouth, now I so want some of that. I miss that so damn much! We even had all four of the bowls! Damn I miss those bowls. I LOVED those bowls! (I always picked Michaelangelo.) And the cereal, which was basically sweetened Chex (Nets) with marshmallows, had such a unique taste I can't fins anywhere now.

Thank you for the nostalgia! Now send me those cereal boxes!!!! LOL (Hate to think of what the Expiration Date is on those things.)

Sweet!

I love those black shelves with the rounded edges. I just bought one for myself and it's awesome! I completely plan to buy one or two more. Those things are perfect for games!

I'm sucker for good pics and you've showed me a piece of heaven. :)

I see you too have discovered the joys of the 'Closet Vectrex'.
While playing, my very own closet turns into outer space and the ghost of Laika cheers me to ever greater scores in Minestorm. 8-)

Yeah, you heard me, CLASSY! LOL

Either way, It's been a LONG time since I updated my collection pics, not only has my collection grown immensely, but I've also moved and my setup is a lot different as well. There are 25 pics here in this album...

1-5 are my bookshelves on the right hand wall as soon as you come in
6-9 are my game "closet" floor shelves
10-13 are my game "closet" top shelves
14 is my game "closet" corner
15-16 are my entertainment center
17-21 are my assorted under-bed boxes
22-23 are my arcade machine
24 is my record collection
25 is my dog
26 is my avatar (don't mind that one)

The pics aren't actually numbered, but you can get the jist of what I'm talking about once you see the album. This is also my bedroom (yeah, i'm 21, I live at home...sue me...once I get outta buisness debt though! *shakes fist*) I included the record collection and some other assorted collectables in the pics as well, enjoy them, I do. Most of em are stuff from my childhood I've bought again from thrift stores or eBay.

Enjoy them, ask questions! I like questions. :D

And Halo...I don't like Halo. I actually am not a fan of FPS at all. But if I can snag it for 5.00 one day I will. That's the only way.

I wish I could give you a specific name, but it's some wierd thing for GameBoy made by Radio Shack. You put a GB in it (original) and it turns it into a mini arcade with expanded speakers, joystick, & magnifier. Also holds games...a whopping TWO game storage area.

Actually, it's really not as cool as it sounds, a total piece of off brand garbage.

Well your room reminds me sort of like my game room, actually. However, you have a few more games then I do, and a lot of other crap that I don't have. I still live at home too, and have all my crap in my room....and the shelves are a big priority...

Spongebob sheets? Aren't you a little old for those? ;P

For a 21-year-old kid still living at home, you sure have a ton of stuff. o_O I'm 21 and living at home too, but my collection is maybe 1/2 or 1/3 of that if I'm lucky.
