Embarassing games

sabre2922 brought up a topic that made me think of another one.
Have you ever been embarassed about enjoying a game?

For example I tried Pokemon Yellow on my freinds gamboy and man I was hooked. I could not put that thing down. For days and days on end it's where all my focus went to, even at work. I was a little embarassed due to the fact that I played it at work, so here I am a (at the time) 24 yr old guy. Giggling everytime Pikachu talked. :embarrassed:

Well, not really. I used to play Hamtaro for GBC at work all the time...I think I said "awwwww" so many times during that game. LOL.

I got pokemon red when i was a junior in high school and i didn't feel embarassed. I mean it's not like i made dumb pokemon sounds or tried to get other people to like it.

On the other hand i feel embarassed for anyone who picked up DOA extreme beach volleyball. Even though i just bought a copy for 5 bucks at CC. :embarrassed:

I was a little embarrassed about being hooked on Animal Crossing...at first. Then I got all my friends hooked and it stopped being embarrassing, until I started buying the E-cards. *sigh* Stupid e-reader.

I'd have to second that "DOA: Extreme Volleyball". I only played that for about half an hour and i felt really really dirty about the whole thing.

But that posing by the poolside thing made me laugh my ass off.

I've never gotten embarrassed playing a console game, but playing DDR in public for the first few times... THAT was pretty embarrassing...

Heh, when I first got the Sega Channel back in...I think 1995, there was this game called Crystal's Pony Tail. I remember my roommate walking in and wondering what the hell was going on. He was into Mortal Kombat and was a dick, so this was simply beyond his comprehension ;)

Anyone who's played Valis the Fantasm Soldier (Valis 1) has probably seen the cinema just before the ending where Reiko gets killed. There's a pretty ambiguous scene where Yuko touches her cheek and holds her or something and it looks kind of kinky. I must have been about 13 when I was playing this and my mother walked in during that scene and gave me a dirty look...made some comment like "What the hell IS this?" :embarrassed:

I think D2 for the Dreamcast is an incredible game except for the dialogue. It is cheeseball beyond comprehension, and I get embarrassed when my fiancee walks in during one of it's 15-minute "emotional powerhouses". You can't skip that crap either. At least Shenmue lets you turn the voices off!

I'm going for a complete N64 collection as well as a Genesis collection and when people read my list of N64 ive collected they literally drop the list and start lafling out loud when they read "Tigger's Honey Hunt" and "Elmo's Letter Adventure" and spread the word to other people like a damn virus.
