Call me crazy, but i kinda like Cosmic Carnage for the little ol' 32X. Problem is ive got no manual, and all ive got to work with is 1 move for each fighter from an old review in a magazine. I know there are more moves, but theres nothing on the internet at all.
Anyone have a manual or a guide or anything with the special moves ? Im desperate...

I haven't played that in like 10 years, but I remember it really being a Street Fighter II clone in the literal sense. Try your fireball/dragon punch half-moons and quarter moons. Also, most characters had some thing where you hold back for 2 seconds and then hit forward and punch at the same time. Backwards quarter-moons + punch does stuff with some characters. Just experiment with the SFII moves, because the game isn't that complicated, and the designers weren't very original.
As long as you're doing a special move of some sort when you drain the last bit of energy from your opponent, you will automatically blow their limbs off or whatever nasty animation the game has in store. There are no fatality moves a la Mortal Kombat.
Somebody else might know how to do this, but there's a trick to turn the game into it's Japanese counterpart (although I wonder about this because 32X wasn't released in Japan). The title screen has a different name, and all the characters are humans instead of robots and aliens. I don't remember the code but maybe somebody else does?

The system was released, although I can't confirm if 'Cyber Brawl' was published in Japan or not. It's a neat trick, even the intro story is a little different, but only three of the characters are humans while the rest are as they were in Cosmic Carnage.
I've got the manual tucked away somewhere, I was planning on eventually submitting a move list to Game Faqs.. What Graham said is true though, I can stumble into special moves all day.
Kinda sad that almost nobody cares about this game, sure it's lame in some respects but I'd like to see the endings. Sega always stuck a good story in their fighters.

Actually, I believe some moves are dependent on how restrictive the armor is. If you use heavy arm or leg armor the appropriate move may not come out at all. I'm not sure if the reverse is also true, if some moves being dependent on heavy armor.

I'm such a sucker for corny games. It's as if Sega knew this one wasn't going to get any awards or intense magazine coverage, so they just went ahead and stuck all the moves in the manual.

If anyone manages to get the endings I'd love to see 'em. Savestates, that sort of thing.

Oops.. almost forgot to thank you for the manual scans :hail:
The cyber brawl cheat is pretty cool, but i didnt realise the intro was different for it too... Wouldnt mind seeing the endings for those (or any) characters.. Guess i'd better get to work.
And for the record- Cylic rules :D

I've never been able to get an ending....it's like you have to actually beat the damn thing in under a certain time. I allways get the "You died!" ending.

You do have to beat the game under a certain time limit. The game's story was about how the ship is about to explode and there is only one escape pod left and eight aliens on board. Whoever you choose, prison guard or convict, have to fight for the pod and win before the ship explodes. I've beaten it once under time. I don't believe there was any individual ending. It was simply an endtro saying you escaped with a little graphic of a pod leaving and the ship exploding behind you.

I used to beat the thing all the time under the time limit. Its not that hard actually. I allways played as Tyr, cause he was very powerful in either full armor or light armor. The good ending isnt all that special though. No matter how much under the limit you beat it, you allways have about 30 seconds left when you run to the pod, and you escape with like 8 seconds left, and fly off as it explodes behind you.

But you do have to beat it with sufficient time to escape the ship. Once I managed to just barely win, or so I thought, but I still lost as the timer continued and ran out as my character was getting to the escape pod.

No, what i meant was, no matter how under the time limit you beat the game, it allways shows the 30 second countdown on the clock, and you allways just barely escape. It was the same every time I beat it, and I know that I didnt beat the game with the exact same time left every time. (Which it doesnt ever show you.)

Did you notice what the average time was for each round to get the good ending? 20 seconds a fight? 30?
